Going into the career fair I kept my expectations at a minimum due to my lack of experience with attending career fairs. Upon arriving at the career fair I was blown away by the massive turnout and large variety of companies. As I walked around the fair I was able to talk to three different employers. I spoke with representatives from KeySource Medical, Inc., GBQ, and LBrands. I was able to gain insight on what KeySource Medical and GBQ were since I had never heard of them before, and I was able to learn more about LBrands even though I was already familiar with the company. I would say that each of the conversations I had went very well and all of the representatives were understanding of me being a first year, but were eager to inform me
I went for the Career Network Event and it was a great learning experience for me. I went there trying to apply everything that I learned from my job search class and it was a success. Because I had the chance to speak to the employer of my interest, and I everything went as planned, I remember my professor in class told us to make sure we have a goal and to know which company that we would like to work for and just go for it. I went in there and I did the exact thing that he told us. I remember before taking this class I used to try to speak to every single one of employer and then I put everything in one folder. Later on when I went to contact the job that I was interested in, I would get all the employers mixed up and because of that, that cost me a lot of jobs that I always wanted in the past.

Ever since I was a little girl, I have always dreamed of having a job where I can help people. After doing research throughout my twelve years of school I stubbled across the occupation of a registered nurse and I realized that is the ideal career for me. While researching registered nurses, I determined that anyone can try and become a registered nurse, but it requires a tremendous amount of hard work. This future job will require me to have a great education, extraordinary communication, listening, and personal management skills. As a registered nurse the pay is more than ideal, and it would provide me with the lifestyle I would want to live. This occupation would also give me the chance to work anywhere I want, such as close to home or somewhere in a different state.
This February, I had the opportunity to chair a Valentine’s cards service project for the nursing home residents in my community. The main purpose behind this was to spread love to those who may need it. While I was in my Medical Assisting program at school, I was able to do my externship at an Internal Medicine office and work with a lot of elderly patients. Many of them garnered so much joy by just being greeted politely and acknowledged, even during a doctor’s visit. With two other members of National Honor Society, we were able to deliver the cards directly to residents during their entertainment. It gave me such a feeling of joy to be able to do something so simple, to bring happiness and love into someone else’s life.
High school has been a very interesting experience for me. It has definitely had its highs and lows and many confusing experiences in between. Overall, I feel like I have been equipped for not only college, but also life as a whole. High school has taught me many things, both academically and emotionally. It has revealed and exposed my true colors, both good and bad, and as a result, has built many aspects of my character. My experiences at Alameda High school and Alameda Community Learning Center have shaped me into the person that I am today.
The internship that I acquired during the summer of 2010 at the Greenwood Sports and Industrial Rehabilitation Center (GSIRC), allowed me to gain an immeasurable amount of experience during my tenure at this facility. Within this period, the exposure to new concepts within the physical therapy industry allowed me to observe and work hands on with patients of all ages and disabilities that exposed me to various treatment plans and programs to restore client’s mobility. The essential Physical Education and Exercise Science (PEES) courses taken at Lander University were beneficial to my academic knowledgebase, which prepared me and developed me for the opportunity within the physical therapy discipline. Working as an intern taught me the responsibility of time management and working within a lean schedule that allow me to further develop my skill set. This reflection paper will illustrate my classroom experience, internship experience, and learning experience.

As I reflect and look at my career journey, I realize that I have not really had a career journey. I have held a few jobs; however, I have not had a job I would consider my career yet. Furthermore, I only worked for a couple of months in each of the jobs I had in the past. Currently, I do not have a job yet, and I realize that I am now 24 years of age and should be starting my way to my career. However, I have not looked into jobs in my career field because I feel as though I am not ready yet to start working in my field.
MY RESPONSE: A job analysis should include in every human resource function, because it supports the business strategy, analyzes employees’ performance, and broadcasts the future developments. This practice helps to identify the needs for specific skills, and it's a useful tool for hiring, promotion, and training. For instance, when performing an assessment, you are looking not only for a job performance, you can identify a specific behavior or areas of possible improvements. The job assessment helps to identify additional needs for enhancement or correction. There is a correlation between managers and employees, and collected data will help to determine the internal environment and how good the relationship is. For example, during training,
Education is man’s most valuable possession: it is the concept through which one’s love for learning stems, and the equipment used to pave an individual’s path to success. Although easily influenced by the opinions of others, education is one of the few concepts that neither internal nor external stress can strip from our being. The future of our society lies in the hands of our educators; the values and morals instilled by such figures govern the actions of the earth’s people.
