When we become adults — no jokes please, wink, wink — one of the universal passage rites is deciding whether to buy a home or rent one. Adulthood conveys stability and security. The financial means to make such a large purchase and keep it long enough to establish valuable equity (equity is like magic financial pixie dust, but more on that much later).
It’s also the American Dream, so lots of emotional and psychological thingies work on us too, when we contemplate where and how we want to live longterm. What does our home base look like to us? How do we feel about it?

Housing can reach incredibly large proportions and have various on-site features such as large pools or perhaps the house has more than two floors. Obviously, only the wealthy class can afford a property with features such as this. Some may view it as unnecessary and excessive to own such a property. Thoreau described his home in “Walden” not having plastering or a chimney. He only used the home to protect himself from the rain and winters. Also there are different types of communities to move into. Housing a century ago was different in that there were only two types of areas to live in. Someone lived in the large and busy cities or in small, quaint homes in the countryside. Also housing was much smaller and it was less expensive for someone to make their own

Looking back four years ago, I would never imagine myself being in the place where I am today. As years passed by, I became a typical American kid. I have a part time job, going to high school, hanging out with friends. America has truly changed my whole well being. I communicate, made friends, and learned. I can certainly say that I found my new home. I am glad that we moved but I will always miss my family and friends in the Philippines. If we had not moved here, I would have missed out on all of the experiences that I have had and all the friends that I have

Mortgage lenders are forced to take into account all debt obligations when considering qualified mortgage applicants. This forces those, who would otherwise buy, to either rent or substantially lower their living arrangement expectations. Due to this, younger people are avoiding buying. According to the Census Bureau, between 2005 and 2015 the percentage of homeowners under the age of 35 plummeted from 43.3 percent to 34.6 percent. Granted, there could likely be several other factors contributing to this decrease. However, the National Association of Realtors released a survey that found 23 percent of first-time buyers said it was hard to save for the first down payment and 57 percent of those said student debt was one of the major influences in their
