We chose our topic because as young ladies of African- American descent in middle school we feel that this topic is significant to our education and we wouldn't have the intelligence level we currently have if it wasn't for this remarkable case. Not only but also, we wanted to do a topic that was a major event and had an immense impact that we still see today. Our project displays multiple pieces of not only Brown v Board of Education but as well as Brown 2. We conducted our research by using a various variety of books, websites, and videos. Adjacent, we started learning about the specifics, key players, and major points of the case. Then we advanced to research about what was going on during the time of the case to get a better understanding of their society. We then used the historical context and analyzed major decisions where we saw both points of views on the case. Subsequently, we started researching Brown 2 and explored more into what the government did after The Board of Education continued to decline African Americans after it was ruled unconstitutional. …show more content…

Board of Education is the long-term impact it has. We believe that without Brown v. Board of Education and Brown 2 that schools would still be segregated along with other public facilities. Without Brown v. Board, we wouldn't be able to go to school knowing that we will have an education or that we would be promoting to the next grade. Without Brown v Board and the people who stood for it many civil rights movements of the late 1950s and 60s wouldn't have happened. We created our project by first making a statement. Our board is split in half demonstrating how blacks and whites were split.
