One day my friend Briana told me a story that started 13 years ago. Briana was two years old when she met another two year old name Jack. Briana and Jack became best friends for 10 years, then Jack moved to another city so they became distant. Jack got his first phone when he was 13 and Briana got her first phone when she was 12. Jack was excited because he could finally have Instagram with her, so he searched up the name Briana Lopez and found his old best friend again. Briana got a friend request from Jack, she was so shocked and kind of excited because she had lost her best friend but all of a sudden she found him again. Briana accepted the request, Jack and her were texting non-stop 24/7. It felt like Jack never moved away and as if they …show more content…
Her mother called Briana to the living room because someone brought her a gift. She went to the living room and saw her best friend Jack, who she hadn’t seen in a year. Briana was really happy to see him. Jack gave Briana her favorite candy, flowers, and a little envelope that said, “I’m moving back to my old house.” She got so pleased because she was going to have her best friend in town again. School was starting so Jack and Briana made a whole plan of where to meet after each class and after school. Monday was here and their plan worked fine for a couple of months till someone new came into Jack’s life. Jack got a girlfriend later that school year. He didn’t wait for Briana after class, or school, he didn’t talk to her as much anymore, or didn’t even text her. Briana kind of got mad when Jack introduced his girlfriend to her because his girlfriend was a girl who hates Briana with a passion. Briana waited two months to bring it up to Jack. She told him that he is ignoring her because he had a girlfriend but that isn’t right. Jack said he didn’t have a choice because his girlfriend said he can’t talk to her and that she blocked Briana’s

It was a warm morning, Leah was getting ready to see her new high school with her mom. She looked through the window and saw a young boy around her age wearing a red cap, cutting off weed and fixing up a place across from where she lives. The guy knew she was looking at him from across the window, so he looked up and gave a smile at her. Leah moved away from the window and got embarrassed. She then took another peek and saw that the guy left with his bicycle, she was wondering who he was. A few minutes later, Leah’s mother took her to the high school she will be attending to, she saw the high school and it was much different where she attended to in New York, it was like a type long house with only 3 big room, they only had 1st year, 2nd year, and 3rd year of high school. They put her 1st year of high school which is like freshman year again. Leah will be starting high school within 2 weeks. She was kind of excited but yet nervous about how people will act with her since she can’t speak much Spanish. The next day she saw the guy she looked at through the window again cleaning up the property from across her house, he saw her looking at him again and he waved hi to her, Leah hid quickly and turned red, she told herself “ he probably thinks I’m a weirdo or he probably thinks I’m stalking him”. She then wanted to say hi back
She is now working at a large chain beauty salon where she is the assistant manager. She is making more money now but she still has conflicts with her mother. The holiday’s have just past. Her remarks about her mother have changed somewhat. She tells her therapist “We had a fantastic Christmas, all my family came and me and my mom cooked, I was super busy at work, but when I was home, it was a blast.” The therapist asks what made it a blast? “Well, me and my mom weren’t always going at it. We cooked and partied, not like the way I party with my friends, but you know family party.” She starts to see things from a different perspective. Jackie says “I was so tired when I got home from the salon, and my mom works even more hours than me. I can see how she might be really tired at night, I wanted to help her more, so we haven’t been fighting as much”. She also says “I’m making more money now, maybe I should think about moving out, so she can meet someone or something, she just works all the time.”

Christopher threw his head back, letting the slow burn of the whiskey take its hold on him. Blinking he slammed the glass upside down on the counter and snapped his fingers. The blonde, a tall, five foot seven, laughed and padded her way to him. "Remember that promise I made you a few months ago, hmm?" She tsked her tongue, a glass bottle in one hand, pointing with the other. "Hmm...huh. You'll 'ave to remind me, love." His words a bit slow, almost caught between slurred and just mashed together, the blonde leaned on the counter, resting her weight on her elbows. A blonde curl tickled Christopher's arm as she poked his left bicep. "No mocking me accent, love." She winked, her thick, Welsh accent flowing with her words. He groaned and faked a frown. "But I totally nailed it!" She rewarded him with a loud, snort filled laugh and giggle sound. "We made a deal on the amount. You hit your amount--" she held her hand up, making a peace sign. "Two shots ago. Your cut off, baby boy." She patted his head, grinning. Christopher rose an eyebrow, cocking his head to the side. According to the Medical Doctors in the Diabetes field, you should have no more then one to three, at a maximum, shots at a time in a 24 hour period.

One day in the midst of summer, my friend Mike and I got off from a hard day of work and were on our way to the mall. While at work we had planned to meet a few people there. I was going to be seeing my friend Jessica who I had not talked to in years. Before leaving, we stopped off at our houses, took showers, and got ready. As I anxiously waited on the stairs for his car to roll into the driveway, my mom said, “Be careful and do not drive like an idiot.” I obviously said alright and she was on her way. Minutes later I see my friend Mike pull into the driveway. I slipped my feet into my shoes and got in his car. We were almost to the mall when his phone rang. He picked it up and said, “Hello?” It was my mom and she wanted to speak to me. Upon putting the phone to my ear she told me that I had to come home right away. She said that my dad had just gotten into a car crash and that I had to come home and watch my sister. I did not know how to break the news to Mike, that what we were anticipating all day would not happen. He was upset, but he understood what was going on. I came home thinking it was the same old same old; he had gotten hit by a drunk driver, the car got totaled, and he was fine.
One calm morning I was sleeping like a baby. All of the sudden some loud, obnoxious noise wants to be rude and wake me up. I look out my window and see this giant metal thing, but I don't care and go back to sleep. As I try to go back to sleep all I hear is my neighbors screaming for their lives. So I stick my head out my window and yell at them to shut up. After I did that I hear someone banging on my door, so I get up and if it's my neighbors I'm ready to start swinging. I open the door and something weird walks in.
February twenty-third 2010 was just a regular ordinary day. I was on my way to class on this cold February afternoon, when my phone rung. It was my cousin on the other end telling me to call my mom. I could not figure out what was wrong, so I quickly said okay and I hung up and called my mom. When my mom answered the phone I told her the message but I said I do not know what is wrong. My mom was at work and could not call right away, so I took the effort to call my cousin back to see what was going on. She told me that our uncle was in the hospital and that it did not look good. Starting to tear up I pull over in a fast food restaurant parking lot to listen to more to what my cousin had to say. She then tells me to tell my mom to get to the hospital as quickly as possible as if it may be the last time to see her older brother. My mom finally calls me back and when I tell her the news, she quickly leaves work. That after-noon I lost my Uncle.
