The Bourne Identity is filled with crazy explosions and assassins that might leave you saying that this is just an action packed fiction. Even though they stretch the story of Jason Bourne losing his memory to make the story more exciting and movie like, the fundamental ideas are very much in line with real military and police tactics for information warfare. The whole premise of the Bourne movie is based off of the this “black ops” sector of the CIA that Bourne works for. This Black Ops acts very much like a “secret police” agency and there are many aspects of this agency that is very realistic. One of the main points of the movie was that Jason Bourne’s mission was to kill African dictator Nykwana Wombosi who wasn’t actually a criminal, …show more content…
This kind of mission to take out enemies to the CIA, is very similar to the actions of the NKVD under Joseph Stalin in Russia. The purpose of the NKVD was to take out anyone who was a subversive to Stalin. In the movie this also showed that the head agent of this CIA operation Alexander Conklin had complete and unchecked control very similar to Stalin or Hitler and their respected police forces. A lot of general strategies to gain information to be able to gain an advantage against the enemy was shown in this movie too. The use of Human Intelligence was shown by Bourne and the CIA to try to gain a step on one another. Bourne was able to choose Maria as someone who would help him because he profiled her. This experience that Bourne had, knowing how certain people react, proved to be critical in the long run. Maria eventually would respond well to the …show more content…
There were several times throughout the movie that data collected in innocent, everyday life, was able to be used to track Bourne and Maria down. This was shown when the CIA looked through Maria’s old bills to find out where she lived. This is a very common technique that police or government agencies can do to track down criminals. Bourne also in his quest to figure out who took the body of John Kane, his alias in Paris rips a page out of the sign in sheet to the morgue. This sign in sheet was able to give him names and addresses of everyone who visited that day. Even though for the people of the morgue this was just to keep track who was going in and out, Bourne was able to use this to figure out some names. As I mentioned earlier, Bourne went to the hotel to get that information about John Kane. This information, which was his bill for the room, was able to help him learn understand some things from the

The CIA’s 50-year history of smuggling drugs into America is generating hatred for the United States throughout the world. Like Pontius Pilate, CIA washes their hands of the human tragedies and the corruption of government offices. They do this by remaining and by refusing to recognize the evidence, supporting corruption. For the past 50 years, the CIA has abused its power by deliberately drugging and corrupting America; and therefore should be prosecuted.

Espionage has always been a subject that has captured the thoughts and imaginations of many people. The idea of the glamorous life of espionage agents and spies with grand parties, high tech gadgets, and world destroying villains have led to the belief that spies live a life of adventure and almost science fiction. Real agents live far from that life in reality. Many live in constant fear of imprisonment or execution. The facts and fiction of espionage have become distorted overtime.

In a briefing held Sept. 15, 2001, George Tenet presented the Worldwide Attack Matrix, a "top-secret" document describing covert CIA anti-terror operations in 80 countries in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. The actions, underway or being recommended, would range from "routine propaganda to lethal covert action in preparation for military attacks". The plans, if carried out, "would give the CIA the broadest and most lethal authority in its history".
Repelling down from a hovering Black Hawk helicopter, running through the streets in a foreign city, bullets hissing past your ears, bombs are exploding all around you, debris flying in all directions, and you have a job to do. In Black Hawk Down, director Ridley Scott mixes a wide variety of camera movement, camera angles, film speed, tone, and music to throw the audience into the thick of the fighting in Mogadishu, Somalia. Scott places the viewer into the boots of Delta Force members, ARMY Rangers, and many other military positions allowing you to experience the nightmare these soldiers are going through. William Arnold stated "Black Hawk Down is a terrific trip' movie that like Private Ryan plops us right in the middle of a harrowing combat situation, and forces us to experience' it for ourselves, as if we were one of the jangled participants" (par. 11).
To begin with, this paper was written with the intent to provide a full analysis on the movie Black Hawk Down. Over the course of the following paragraphs, I will establish a base as to why I think this movie is important to history, as wells as provide an in-depth overview of the narrative, and the translation of the story into a film. Since there are many different characteristics that make up a great film, the following text will provide what I think to be the strongest elements of the narrative, mise-en-scene, character development, and overall reception of the audience.
The film combines many different types of cinematography to make these scenes come to life and add suspense. The mise-en-scene being used in the film creates a totally different aspect in the film. The Matrix also used many different special effects on the characters and the scene to make the film so spectacular in every way. The special effects used made the viewers truly believe that the film is a realistic action movie. Many people do not realize the role these types of cinematography play in a film until they actually pay close attention to every scene. Different lighting and color techniques help to set the mood for the film and cause suspense for the
Going to the movies is a favorite leisure activity for people not only in the US but also around the world. Some people like sappy romantic comedies, some love animated movies voiced by their favorite funny actors, and some prefer action movies. I personally love an action thriller and these movies are always at the top of my list, particularly when there's a series involved as is the case with the Bourne movies. At first glance, the Bourne series is a plot-heavy action flick involving a secret agent who does the CIA's bidding and the international affairs the CIA involves itself in. Upon further examination, however, this is the story of a soldier on a journey to understand himself and find absolution for the evil he has perpetrated by destroying

I’m the type of guy that would go out and buy a Call of Duty game, pop it open and gather all my friends and jump right into it. Call of Duty is one of the most popular games out and many people love to play. It is competitive, it has online play, and you can also create a clan or group to play against other people around the world online. Call of Duty dates back to 2003 and really wasn’t popular then because it’s all about killing your enemy. Many parents didn’t want their child to play the game. Growing up, I didn’t know much about video games, so I wasn’t really into them until I started playing Call of Duty. Not only does it have military based features, it also has zombies and/or aliens features as well.
