Introduction to Jesus
Christianity was established on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ born out of a miracle to a devout Jewess named Mary. Jesus means “savior” and the title Christ means “the anointed one”. Jesus was an actual historical figure and the western calendar is made according to the birth of Jesus. The abbreviation "AD" stands for the Latin anno domini, "in the year of our Lord." And “BC” "Before Christ" which was a few years before Christ’s birth. Details of Jesus’s life are recorded in the four Gospel narratives which were written by the Jesus’s closest apostles within a decade of Jesus’s life. This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. (Mathew 21:18)
Jesus lived a traditional life until his adulthood and worked with his father as a carpenter. The only information found about his childhood is in the Gospel of Luke where Jesus wanders off in Jerusalem and is found in a temple by his parents to whom he says,
“Didn't you know I would be in my Father's house?” (Luke 2:49)

...ause it marks the end of his earthly ministry. This was the end of his humanly accomplishments that his Father had planned for him. With Jesus’s ascension, the disciples witnessed his heavenly glory which is written in scripture as approve till the end of the world. Jesus was exalted to heaven because his Father was pleased with his accomplishments who would now honor Jesus with a name above all names. This also indicated the beginning of his new role as the Lord and mediator of the new covenant.
The Christians believe that the lord Jesus is in the heaven currently. He sits at a glorious position in honor and authority as the right hand of his father. (Psalm 110:1; Ephesians 1:20; Hebrews 8:1). Christ is the Head of the Church (Colossians 1:18), the giver of spiritual gifts (Ephesians 4:7-8), and the One who fills all in all (Ephesians 4:9-10).
