Bill Cosby is a well-known actor, comedian, writer and producer that was born on July 12, 1937. Cosby is originated from Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He is well known mostly for the good things that he did for television and society, but also well known for some terrifying actions towards several women. He is known to be one of the best comedians, and one of the first African-American’s to break the racial barriers on television. Cosby grew up in a stable home in the suborns of Germantown, with his parents and 3 younger brothers. At young age, Willian Cosby sr. (Bill’s father) started drinking very heavily and finished up enlisting for the U.S Navy leaving Bill as the head of the family. Ennis Cosby, Bill Cosby only son was shot to dead changing a tire in a California Highway. Also, Autumn Jackson claimed that Cosby was his paternity father and claimed 40million dollars so she wouldn’t say anything to the media. Cosby admitted that he had an affair with Autumn’s mother, but he claimed that she wasn’t his daughter. She went to prison for 26 months for extortion. This was not the worst thing that happened to Cosby. In 2014, comedian Hannibal Buress brought new attention to an earlier case against Cosby for sexual harassment. More than 50 women open in the same year about Cosby having any type of sexual assault towards them within his lifetime. “The snowball effect led to court records from Constand’s first complaint being unsealed in the summer of 2015—including a deposition in which Cosby admitted to drugging women he wanted to have sex with. Howard Allan Stern was born January 12, 1954 in New York, New York to parents Ray and Ben Stern. For the first 15 years of his life, Stern lived in Roosevelt, Long Island, NY. Sterns love for radio was inherited from his father, who owned part of a recording studio. Stern displayed a love of performing from an early age. Encouraged by his mother, Stern would create puppet shows for his friends, and then perform them in his basement. The shows of course would have Sterns personal touch of being outrageous. Sterns social life growing up was not the best. Roosevelt having a large African American population made it hard for Stern to fit in and he the target of school fights. The Stern family moved to Rockville Centre, in 1969, when Stern was 15.
Willie Mays was born on May 6, 1931, in Westfield, Alabama. His mother was Ann and his father was William. Both Mr. and Mrs. Mays were athletic. Mr. Mays played baseball on the all-black teams of the south, as did his father before him. Mrs. Mays had been a champion sprinter when she was in school (Academy of Achievement).
Henry Hill was born on June 11, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York. His father, Henry Hill Sr., was and Irish-American electrician. His mother, Carmela Hill, was a Sicilian American. Hill grw up with eight other siblings in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Hill lived across the street from a common mobster hangout. This hangout was run by Paul Vario who was a capo in the Lucchese crime family. In his teens, Hill began to run errands for various people at Vario’s numerous stores. He often worked at the cabstand. He missed so much school that the school sent a letter ion the mail to his parents. Upon hearing this the mobsters Hill was working for threatened to kill the mailman if he ever delivered another note from the school to Hill’s house. Hill met James “Jimmy” Burke in 1956. Hill served drinks and food at card games and admired Burke for his generous tipping.

He did attend college on a football scholarship at Temple University years later. He also completed his doctorate in education at the University of Massachusetts during the 1970‘s.
Although Cosby has had a university education and received many honorary degrees, which few achieve, nonetheless, he is associated more as a successful entertainer than a scholarly educator. Interestingly, Cosby has self-described himself more of a class clown than an academician during schooling. Cosby started his entertainment career as a stand-up comedian doing performances across America during his younger years. Comedians have a notorious talent for stirring up crowds and encouraging clamor from the audience. They compose jokes that anyone can relate to and, thus, reach broad demographics during their performances. The talent has remained with Cosby to present and is manifested within the tone of his speeches as well.

He changed the way people thought about gay people back in the 1970’s. Defending homosexuals from criticism, he civilized them with the people. Since the background of homosexuality was harsh which affected Harvey Milk’s early life, he took the action to process of becoming civilized as an officer, and he left many legacies.
Introduction: Perhaps no one has received this title in history “the king of pop”, now a days many artist’s have arisen and have performed but not as the king of pop known worldwide and in history, has dominated the world of pop as Michael Jackson.
OJ Simpson, one of football’s most legendary players, was admired and extolled by many sports-lovers from across the nation. From being selected as the number one player in the 1969 draft to being named NFL’s Player of the Year three times, he led a life of success and fame (CNN.com). Yet behind this renowned MVP, there stood a dark side. In June of 1994, Simpson was arrested for allegedly murdering his wife, Nicole Simpson, and family friend, Ronald Goldman. Simpson pleaded not guilty and eventually won his trial, but his reputation and status were far from recovery. In September of 2007, Simpson was once again arrested, this time on grounds of robbery and kidnapping sports memorabilia. Simpson is a fine example to the age old argument that celebrities should not be given special treatment in the court room because at the end of the day, no matter now powerful they might be, they’ve committed a crime and should pay for their wrongdoing.
For my paper I chose rock musician Lenny Kravitz. I will discuss in detail his rise to critical acclaim as well as show the individual influences towards his works. He is definitely one of my favorite musicians who's work I fondly enjoy.
