22. Being Positive Is Not For The Weak
"If you choose to become a positive detective, if you choose to spread positive news, be prepared for a negative backlash." - Lea Waters
We already established that positive people are stronger than their negative counterparts because they have more courage and willingness to do what needs to be done. But, there is another reason that they are so much stronger than negative people - they have to deal with the negative people and their hateful words and constant negativity.
Lea Waters said that when you are shining a light on the good things, you are acting in a way that is counterculture - you are going against fear and scarcity. This is such a true statement! As a collective culture, we are trained

Help Yourself And The World By Being More Positive
"If you REALLY want to help the world, just be a positive person and do good things, not just to benefit you, but to help others." - Phora
If you have the desire to make this world a better place, stop complaining, hating, and being a miserable being in it. Start being positive and doing positive things for yourself, other people, and the world around you. That 's what will make a positive difference. Hate can 't be drowned out by hate! It only creates more hate. Negativity can 't be drowned out by negativity! It only creates more negativity. Love, kindness and compassion are the only things that can make this world better, and they are all positive traits.
You don 't need to affect a million people at once to affect a million people. Doing one positive thing for yourself or someone else can affect millions of people. One positive word or good deed or positive insight can influence one person who can influence another person - and on and on it goes. Unfortunately, the same is true for negativity. It can also spread like wildfire!
The bottom line is if your intent is to contribute to the world in a positive way, then it is your duty to be more positive. Otherwise, you will never have the impact that you want to
I think that doing a good act that influences the world in a positive way is a step in the right direction for being moral and good. I also believe that it depends on the task at hand. Social media has also changed the way we do things. We post about many ongoing things in our life, and some of those things can be about the good things we do for the world. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing because you didn’t do any wrong; this is just not the right mindset to go into something with.
Award-winning author Mandy Hale once stated, “Without negativity, life would be amazing.” However, this statement does not always prove to be true. Today’s modern community generates a judgement that negative experiences will ruin your life, but studies show that negativity can actually result in positive change. For example, negativity can positively change teenagers actions, introduce teenager’s to more supportive environments, and help fix broken relationships.
Ever hear one say, “Sometimes I’m busy making others happy, that I forget to make sure I’m okay.”? After reading Barbara Ehrenreich’s Bright-Sided I have learned that balancing both positive and negative thinking is the single most important life lesson shown throughout the book. Ehrenreich tells readers that the power of positive thinking Is undermining America and how being too positive and too optimistic, can lead to trouble. One that knows how to balance the amount of positivity and negativity will create a proper outcome for their future.
Whether it be mentoring, helping the homeless, giving blood, holding a charity event or helping support those in need. No matter what the type of work you do is, it matters as long as it helps the community become a better place. The act of kindness that you perform today can save a life tomorrow. Every person isn’t born with ethical thoughts, or thoughts at all but they learn them as they grow. For example, if you see your parents or someone that you admire do good things such as giving back, and help people who need it or just doing right by the religion that they follow, then there is a split chance, that you will follow in those same exact footsteps and fill them just as well as you were taught. Not saying you have to go out of your way to give money to help someone pay for groceries and do things for the less fortunate, but put yourself in their shoes. What would life be like from the other side? Could you still have everything you have now? Everybody can’t be financially stable all the time and you never know when the tables could turn and you can be in their place. It doesn 't take much time to make a difference in your community or any community rather. Give what you can and be that change you want to see in others. We have to learn to work together, rather than despising one another or not getting along with each other for no reason logical. “Two minds are greater than one”. If we stop working against each other and start
If someone thinks negatively towards something the outcome will not be good, and vice versa. Thinking you can achieve the American dream is a major key in doing so, and some Americans are already on the right track. In the U.S., a survey showed that 36 percent of Americans say they have achieved the dream, and another 46 percent believe they are on the path of achieving it. It is not so easy, though, to always look on the bright side. Sometimes it seems as if nothing is going right; that is when negativity occurs. People can argue that mindset has little impact on the outcome, or that it does not matter how positive a person is because some things are just not meant to be. An article, however, proves this wrong. The paper argues how negative emotions prevent humans from flourishing; it also states, “if your ratio of positive to negative emotions is greater than 2.9013 to one, you will flourish both physically and psychologically.” If a person believes in themselves, they are more likely to accomplish their
saddening how our society today focuses on the negative aspects of people’s lives. Believe it or
Influence Thomas Huxley, famous biologist and H.G. Wells' teacher, once said. that "We live in a world which is full of misery and ignorance, and the The plain duty of each and all of us is to try to make the little corner he can influence somewhat less miserable and somewhat less ignorant than it was before he entered it" (Zaadz). In other words, we all have the duty to leave the world a better place by leaving our influence on others. The. At some point in our lives, we've all had someone or something.
Have you ever come across that one person who could absolutely extinguish your entire mood in one split second? It seems to be that in every work related atmosphere, there is almost always that one particular human being who could never find seem to find anything nice to say about anything or anyone. it’s a dismal reality, but it’s completely and utterly unavoidable. "To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment" Ralph Waldo Emerson. We live in a world where society tells you to be yourself and then judges you. We love in a constant fear of being judged or called a weirdo. Though the barons that hold us to this conformity are strong, many manage to break through. No other person in this universe is exactly like you. Everyone has a different quality to bring to the table and that is what makes out world such a diverse place. Embracing your assets to society and not trying to imitate someone else will not only change your outlook on certain situations but on your life as a whole.
It is often said that attitude is everything. This is a particularly important characteristic of a good nurse. Having a positive attitude in ones work environment, especially in the health field, can at times determine life or death. The way an employee perceives themselves can ensure safety and comfort to others, along with increasing the likely hood of a patient or a family members return. Coming off with a negative attitude could potentially cause a patient to loose trust and not have the enjoyable experience that is deserved. There are laws and regulations that must be met in order to preserve patients or resident’s rights. The reasons from where ones attitude might derive from could possible root from many different sources. A nurses attitude
I frequently think about the effects of words on the healing body and mind. One of the things that I focus on in my therapeutic pursuits is "positive self talk," wherein I try to take those automatic negative statements my brain tosses out and change the dialogue to something more productive.
Positivism is a research method that developed from the behavioral revolution, which sought to combine positivism and empiricism to politics (Halperin and Heath, 2012: 27). That is to say, this research approach is governed by natural law to observe, understand and to find meaning in the empirical world. This type of research seeks to answer two empirical questions, such as ‘what is out there’ and ‘what do we call it’ (Gerring, 2001: 156). Positivism is only interested in phenomenons that can be observed through our senses. Thus, positivism is interested in social realities that can be observed and measured by the scientific method (Halperin and Heath, 2012: 29). Furthermore, positivism believes that the gathering of evidence through scientific method can create knowledge and laws, known as induction (Halperin and Heath, 2012: 27). That is to say, evidence can be verified and later generalized then applied to multiple contexts. A positivist would investigate empirical questions that assume how the world works through the accuracy of a probable truth (Gerring, 2001: 155).
Create a positive environment – It is not possible to control the world. But, we can certainly control our own world. We should try to create an environment that will attract positivity into our life. Limiting interactions with negative people, like the worrywarts, the whiners, the haters, and so would be helpful. We can grow more as a person if we hang-out with people who are mature and positive
The world is made up of optimist and pessimists, and the survival of human beings and our well-being requires a balance between optimism and pessimism. Disproportionate pessimism makes life unbearable; however, too much optimism can advance to dangerously hazardous behaviors. The Optimism and pessimism approach is expecting a positive or negative future outcome, a recognizable way of reasoning is best conceptualized as continuity with many amounts of optimism and pessimism. Successful living requires a great balance between optimism and pessimism. Too much optimism may embolden one to take uncalculated risks that will lead to inadvertent and reckless behaviors, which may conclude in a catastrophe. On the contrary, worrying too much about
