This job is also for people who like learning and using critical thinking to their advantage. Doctors like them because they help work with them or work where they can't be. That is why there is such a growing demand for physician assistants because doctors need them. Some people believe they are like a nurse but with a different name, but that is a big misconception. Patient care experience is a big requirement because physician assistant programs because they want people who have been exposed in a hospital setting. Patient care experience includes registered nurses, pharmacy tech, certified nursing assistant, and scribes. To get in a physician assistant program a person must complete there CASPA, an interview with the school they chose, a personal narrative essay, and complete all prerequisite courses. A physician assistant program is classroom and laboratory setting, where a person will learn more how to take care of patients.
