A nurse is a person that is in charge of taking care of patients, as a nurse you should take care of their patients with love, commitment, and the passion to do it. A nurse should treat their patients like they are one of their family members for the patient can feel comfortable. Being a nurse is not an easy job they have to perform a lot of duties. Every patient may be diagnosed with different type of diseases and the nurses have to perform a lot of different routines to care of each patient without mixing the medicines up (Peterson1). There are many educational paths people can take to be a nurse. The require education for a RN a person got to have a high school diploma or GED. Diploma programs are allowed at some hospitals they also got to have an associate degree and a bachelor degree. After graduating from college, it’s an exam you must pass to become a licensed nurse. Associate degree is the quickest way you can become a registered nurse it helps build a foundation in future RN roles in less than 2 years. A diploma in nursing is usually hospital based it takes about 2-3 years to complete this program. It’s a very hand on program.
