Ludwig van Beethoven, I love to listen to his symphonies. It feels me better and refresh. The traditional objectivity of structure, amicability, shape, melodic advancement and coordination traverse into open-finished plausibility. I listened to Beethoven symphony works and have some notes for these symphonies. Symphony No.1 is melodic style. This work is quiet. This piece is loaded with appeal; the subject is smooth and lends itself well to fugal improvements through which the arranger has possessed the capacity to adventure it in smart and witty ways. This is splendidly created music, clear, cautious, however ailing in solid identity, chilling and at times rather little objected. Symphony No.2 everything in this orchestra is honorable, vivacious, and glad. The loveliest impacts follow one after another, dependable in unforeseen courses yet without bringing about any confusion. Rhythms are currently more daring, the instrumental composition wealthier, more resonant and varied. In the center comes a song, played by clarinets, horns, and bassoons for the primary half, and adjusted off as a tutted by whatever is left of the symphony; it has a manly vitality which is further improved by the well-suited decision of going with a chord. The first movement felt as though it was the beginning of a riddle sure to be solved later in the symphony. It began with a sense of suspense with all basic elements of music: tonality, melody, and rhythm. The entire first movement was of an established sonata, between all instruments. However, what caught my attention was the mumble of the low strings which erupted into violins. I was on the edge of my seat for what was to come.

Beethoven’s innovation of bigger orchestra’s was a game changer in the Classical Era and he definitely deserves to be ranked as a “Maverick of Sound.” This piece is rumored to be an autobiographical tale of Beethoven losing his hearing and was done in the period’s traditional sonata form. This piece beautifully evoked the mood of what I imagined as Beethoven’s dilemma of “fate knocking at the door.” Everything in this composition is built around the four opening notes. The tempo allegro was brisk and lively. The exposition set the tone with string instruments followed by the entire orchestra repeating in a march-like character. The bridge was similar in mood to the opening and was announced by horns. The recapitulation led to a long coda that punctuated the ending which built to an exciting climax accentuated by a dynamic fortissimo resolution to the frenzied tension. The Beethoven Symphony #9 in D minor is being announced during the 4th movement of the symphony. Typically, in symphonies, the 4th movements take part in the term of Allegro, which means it is played quickly or fast. However, in Beethoven Symphony, the 4th movement opens with a flurry sound and then is introduced by an instrumental recitative. A recitative is a style of music alternating between speaking and singing words on the same note. In a recitative, the music lines are not repeated even though formally composed songs do.

The ninth symphony is my favorite symphony just because the music is so heavenly. It seems in the beginning of the piece brings a person from darkness to light. Beethoven, I believe, was ahead of his time. To me, he is the greatest composer of all time. His music is not just sounds of music played together in harmony, but a way of life. The music he created for the world is not just to listen to it, but grabs onto the emotion he was setting up. Beethoven's unordinary style cannot ever be copied by any composer or music artist. Today, when we hear music of any kind, we can only thank a certain person, and that person should be Ludwig van Beethoven.
In 1937, Dmitri Shostakovich wrote his Symphony No. 5, which is his most popular work that is still performed today. When the Symphony No. 5 was premiered in November 1937 by the Leningrad Philharmonic Orchestra and composed by Yevgeny Mravinsky, his symphony was very successful that both of the authorities and the public critics of the Soviet Union gave positive acclaims to his Symphony No. 5. Nevertheless, his forth movement, the allegro non troppo form, of the Symphony No. 5, is the most meaningful and dramatic movement than the first three movements: moderato, allegretto, and largo. The fourth movement does not have any verbal texts, but the music can represent a story of military power, human casualties, and human spirit. It is clear that Beethoven’s stands as being significant in development of the string quartet to a massive extent in creativity and innovation. His early quartets show great influence of those from the Classical period and with his own, has influenced his contemporaries and later composers. The quartets published later in his life show even greater imagination and use of expression. It is also through similar uses of texture, harmony, rhythm and counterpoint that composers of the Romantic period and the 20th century wrote their own string quartets. Beethoven’s however prove a huge advancement in how string quartets are written and the intensity of emotions that they portray.
