Grandparents, parents, teens, children, and babies all go through the same process of life, but the way each generation is raised is different than the previous one. Interviewing family members was an interesting experience because it gave me insight on how each generation has different and similar beliefs and problems with the previous one. It is an ever-ending cycle of new generations taking over mass culture, family values, and opinions on what is best for their children. This is usually because the current generations of parents want their children to have a better life than they did and improve the flaws that the previous generation had. I believe people become parents for the soul reason of reproduction because being parents is like second nature many times people do this because they in a sense want to pass down their genes and this is a part of natural selection. My dad on the other hand, believes that people become parents because it is the will of God and that he is the soul and only reason why. Becoming a parent is the most challenging thing done through a person’s life. Many times, having a baby is planned, but sometimes it is not planned, which causes problems between the parents and the future of the embryo/fetus. My father on the other hand, believes that people should only have children when they are wed and financially ready to have a child. I do believe that there is an optimal time to having children because the older one gets the more likely that the child would develop disease such as Down syndrome or not develop correctly therefore having deficiencies for the rest of their lives. I believe that the best time to have children is the ages of 25-35, even though, it is a proven fact that the earlier the better. The social norms nowadays show that more are women giving birth in late 30s and early 40s. Although, this is a factor my dad believes that childbirth can happen at any age because when referencing to the bible he said women then had children at very old ages. We both agreed in these last few items having siblings are very important because you always have a person on your side and they help morph you into the person that you are. Many times they are your rock and give you the best advice and also protect you from harm 's way.
