1. DC's batarangs is referring towards the weapons Batman uses and repulsor ray's are the beams fired from Iron Man's palms. Both companies have switched their names from 'comics' to 'entertainment' because that's where the money is. Still Marvel manages to bring in more money with their Iron man comics vs batman comics. Overall money wise it seems more in Marvel's favor. Overall in the opinion of a fan some may be biased and just say their favorite childhood hero is the best and deny any logical reasoning. I, myself, am somewhere in between both of them. On one hand I love Batman, yet I am also a huge fan of spiderman. In the end everyone wins. They get their money and I get my entertainment.
2. Within the comics, tv shows, and movies the editors tend to leave small subliminal messages, easter eggs one might call them, hinting towards other hero's from the Marvel or DC universe. These two companies have build up

A simple way to help people identify which company is which is to identify DC as the company that makes Batman movies vs Marvel with Ironman. I believe Wolk does a good job in labeling them as such. Simple for others to identify them and suits the companies name well.
3. Wolk is able to identify how both companies compare to their corresponding biggest franchise player. Showing that both character's are wealthy, powerful, and well known just like the companies they belong to. DC tends to be more like an introvert and likes to stay in its home turf, just how batman never wants to leave his home in Gotham. Marvel is able to branch out easily with different heros just like Ironman not being afraid to let the whorld know who he truely is, Tony Stark.
4. Wolk uses the small amount of similarities between the two companies to help the reader easily identify and agree with the differences that he speaks about. Through this method he is able to easily develop and argument with anyone that might be biased and decide to not even acknowledge the "rival"
There have been major changes to the superhero archetype in comics in these recent years as compared to the past. Along with that arises controversy on the subjects like the new female Thor or a black kid as Spiderman. Many are zealously against such changes for reasons like sexism or racism. While many others are fervently behind such changes because they use it to empower their own political views on today’s topics. These topics are important to today’s society however they should not be so important in comic books because comic books should be value-neutral and gender, ethnicity, sexuality and things of this nature should not matter.
I decided to compare Target and Kmart. Those two businesses are different and similar at the same time. Target sells items such as clothing, makeup, jewelry, kids items, etc. And Kmart almost sells the same thing, but the difference here is that Target location is virtually in every city, whereas Kmart is a retail store that has different places but the business is shutting down and closing stores in almost every state.
These companies are also set up in the same way. They each have a chairman, president, and a couple of vice presidents. They both operate on the New York Stock Exchange. Another interesting similarity is that they both are based out of the west coast, The GAP in San Francisco and Nordstrom in Seattle. But this is where the similarities end.
Why are audiences so obsessed with Batman? Film critics Robert Ebert and Christopher Orr dive deeper into what makes superheroes movies like The Dark Knight and Man of Steel so compelling. Joey Esposito analyzes the reasons behind the fascination of the Dark Knight and how he appeals to our inner desire to use the pain in our lives for good. Audiences often have an easier time relating to Batman while they have difficulty relating to Superman. Batman’s tragic past and human traits make him more relatable to audiences of current superhero films than superman who was born with his godlike abilities.
Unfortunately, as the most frustratingly clueless and underachieving superhero ever conceived, Superman would probably lose.
Which comic production do you think is better, Marvel or DC Comics? People these days have raves and wars over which team has more fans. Think about this, which major team would win fighting against each other? The Avengers or the Justice League? DC has a way of creating characters with characteristics that no one could ever think of. If the Avengers and the Justice League went up against each other, DC Comics would put up a major fight and destroy the Avengers.
During those ages when we are just a little kid, we dreamt to be a superhero that could protect the world from being attacked or destroyed by enemies. We always worship to the superheroes that we liked when we watch the superheroes movies. Not only that, we also even act as them by using a scarf, tie on our necks and crazy around with our friends. Recently, I adored with two kinds of superhero movies after I watched them. Those movies are The Kick-Ass 2 and The X-Men 2 which mainly attract teenager’s attention nowadays when they plan to watch a movie. However, there are many differences between these two superheroes movie that we could see from their abilities, costume, and even their operation when they fight criminal.
Marvel has been releasing blockbuster after blockbuster for over the last decade. Marvel movies have action, a great story line, and even some comedy. Some of my favorite movies that Marvel has released are: the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and the Amazing Spiderman. DC movies, on the other hand, are awful and boring. Most of them don’t have a story line, they’re slow in telling the superheros story, and they aren’t based off the comics. Some disappointing DC movies that I thought would be great but weren’t: Green Lantern, Man of Steel, and the Dark Knight Rises. While the future of Marvel movies are looking bright (Dr. Strange, Captain America 3), the DC movies will probably crash and burn (Batman vs Superman, Suicide
middle of paper ... ... DC Comics and Marvel sold rights to movie studios to produce films on these superheroes. Another way comic books forever changed was how the public reacted to them: comic books were now analyzed and examined critically as a book would be. The heroes, sidekicks, and villains were now criticized and the authors as well. This puts more pressure on the authors for better comics.
After they stopped making The Dark Knight movies, everyone wondered if DC Comics would ever create another Batman movie. When Warner Bros announced that they were going to make a Batman vs Superman, directed by Zack Snyder, I was super hype because I know that Zack Snyder produced other high recognized Superman movies. Everyone was talking about how Batman vs Superman was going to be the movie of the year. People had high expectations for the movie and thought it was going to be just as good as The Dark knight. After evaluating the movie Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, I found it to be a bad movie considering that it has a puzzling storyline, terrible acting, and not enough action.
Every child in the United States has heard or read the Marvel and DC comics books. If you have not then you have probably have heard of their characters like the famous star spangled hero, Captain America, or the Dark Knight himself, Batman. Both Marvel and DC has influenced the children and adults of American in its darkest times. The great wars affected many by its poisonous grasps, and its victims sought comfort with the antidote provided by the marvelous illustrators and writers of comic books. Now their cinematic counterparts are here to inspire the 21st century. The Marvel and DC cinematic universes have similar content, they both have unique characteristics that set them apart.
In the world of comics, two main publishers dominate: DC Comics and Marvel Comics. DC Comics promotes superheroes such as Batman, a vigilante who began fighting crime solely to avenge the untimely death of his parents. He possesses no unique superhuman ability, other than a substantial fortune inherited from his late parents. Yet, the public in the Batman comics still adore their hero. In contrast, Marvel Comics promotes superheroes such as the X-Men, a team of superheroes who possess the X-Gene, a DNA mutation that gives each member a different ability.
Being a hero means that one can show courage when it comes to facing a problem. It is a person who helps others in many ways, such as a person in danger. In the modern era, the creation of superheroes have become popular when it comes to producing films. Viewers can choose their favorite heroes due to the idea that there a many of them. However, most fans argue which superheroes are better. Two of the most popular superheroes are DC’s Batman and Marvel’s Iron Man. Although Batman and Iron Man are loved by many viewers because of how they help people in danger, they still demonstrate imperfections which can cause viewers to dislike them. However, both superheroes share similarities and differences between themselves. Batman and Iron Man have
In the novel, The Sailor Who Fell from Grace within the Sea by Yukio Mishima, fate is portrayed in a different manner compared to Agamemnon. Firstly, fate leads Ryuji Tsukazaki to meet Fusako, leads Ryuji to abandon his job as a sailor, and turns his search for glory to death. Ruji, a sailor who has been living on the sea for most of his life was been looking for the perfect glory as he says, ”I’m destined for and that’s glory”(Mishima 16) but is unsure how this glory is defined. In the novel, Fate directs Ruji to a new lifestyle when he meets Fusako and Noboru. He falls in love with Fusako to whom he finds comfort in and later on believes that it's better than continuing his quest for glory.
Iron Man and Batman are both famous superheroes, existing in both the comic world and in their own movie trilogies. The Dark Knight and Iron Man trilogies have been two of the most popular hero movie series of all time, leading many people to view these heroes as ‘above par’, grouping them with the likes of Superman and other power endowed heroes. Batman and Iron Man are not unique in that they don’t have powers, but their ways of compensating for this lack of natural crime fighting prowess are strikingly similar. Overall however, Iron Man is the superior hero in my eyes due to his greater intellect, and also the greater depth to his character.
