This Management Report includes an analysis of the Basilica Our Lady of San Juan National Shrine Gift Shop, and the findings of conflict that appears to be affecting the business from preforming at its possible best. The problem is from a marketing perspective, and is simply the amount of people that are being targeted. Throughout this report I provide two possible solutions that would allow this business to expand the amount of people that it targets and the one I believe is the best. In addition, I provide recommendations on how to implement the strategy of my choosing including different parameters. Finally, I provide my learning experience from creating this report and my experience in the Principles of Management course.

This would allow for the gift shop to understand the culture of the religions and help in the selection of products that they want to provide. It is essential for the seller to understand its customer. After the Basilica Gift Shop has done research and they feel comfortable selling to these religions, and after they purchase and display the small select amount of products, I recommend for them to test for a period of two months and see if this is successful. If it is then the gift shop can carry out selling at a larger scale or keep it at the same level. If this isn’t successful, I recommend that the gift shop analyzes marketing strategies and attempts to do this again on important religious dates that correspond to both of these …show more content…
The first thing that the Management Report allowed me to do was develop my interviewing skills. Since, I haven’t conducted many interviews in my professional career, this allowed me to obtain more experience by acting upon this. The Italian Centre Shop shows many attributes as for how they are able to build on their strengths. This in the end helps a company to expand and grow further to improve their internal performance and as well by gaining more consumers (Kerin, et al., 2015). Firstly, the company’s main strength relies on the location of the different branches, being placed strategically so it is easier to bring in more consumers as well as being easily accessible for people around those areas. Two of the three locations in Edmonton are situated beside shopping centers, Southgate mall and West Edmonton mall, which in the West end is the most popular attraction of the city.
