Getting a good education in America is not hard to come by; however, in other countries in various corners of the world getting an education is hard to come by. In many countries around the world, there are many kids that could be in school that are currently not enrolled in school due to educational barriers. Some of the barriers that children all around the world encounter are school distances, school violence, refugee status, natural disasters, gender discrimination, early marriage, low motivation, poverty, poor funding, early pregnancy, poor governance and the list goes on. With higher school enrollments countries tend to thrive more, without this, countries tend to have issues with the barriers listed above which just repeats the cycle. Gender Discrimination is a large barrier in many countries. In many countries around the world, it is uncommon for women and girls to attend school. In many societies, they stay home all day, take care of the children, take care of the house, and cook the meals. Ever since the beginning of time women have been seen as inferior. Schools in these areas tend to have poor funding for buildings and supplies. Many of the kids in these schools travel a long distance to attend. In many of these places there tends to be only one teacher for a lot of students. This leaves less one on one time with the teacher to make sure the child is grasping the content. In many schools that are also not well funded there tend to be many kids sharing one textbook because they can’t afford the supplies. Once these countries dig themselves out of poverty with an education they should not endure poverty any longer.
