Unbelievers or those who are not born-again people should not be in a member of Baptist church. The Bible teaches about how to become a church member, but no one can force to be in a church member. It is matter of obedience. The regeneration church membership is the most important issues it could be than other issues. Some other denominations and Baptist are different between who should accept or who should not to become a member. When a church accepted who is already saved, they get many beneficial from them. Obedience is one of the most important thing in an organization. We have church every Wednesday and Friday during weekdays. “Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to …show more content…
It’s hard to get enough group of saved people to pull together. Some people want to keep their spiritual condition life private, which no one else has the right to estimate them. “For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church…” (Ephesians 5:23) I am one of church school teachers in Chin Evangelical Baptist Church (CEBC). I understand Christ is the head of the church and we should obey what he told us to do and that’s why I volunteer to be a church school teacher. In June 2016, our church school director called me that he want to visited me at my house. In the weekend, he and our church school pastor came visit me and they asked me to volunteer for church school teacher. The pastor said “we see that you are already born-again, we like you to be a part of church school teacher.” Many people says “action is louder than word.” When I know I am saved and reborn, I left everything that I did negative things in my life but everyone can make mistake and do stupid things again. One day, one of our church pastor preached about “how do you know you are born-again or not?’ He said, “If you are born-again you will not do bad things often but when you do, there should be something that will remind you about which is right or wrong.” After I was reborn, I sometimes make negative thing in my life but there’s something that always tell me right or
All of us have encountered someone in our lifetime – a family member, a co-worker, a neighbor, or an acquaintance – who asked us WHY? Why do we pour all of our talents, all of our gifts, and all of our service into church?
The Baptists stands out as an interesting denomination. What attracts me to this particular denomination are their practice and their religious views. Unlike many Christian denominations, Baptists practice adult baptism; they believe that baptism should be for those who have made a conscience decision of accepting Jesus as Lord. As for their religious views, Baptists have an ever-changing view on various issues. In many ways the Baptists denomination is very traditional in their old ways but also they also evolve with the new times.
As far as mankind’s history can date, religion has had quite an intimate relationship with people. Although maybe it hasn’t always been identified in the same way as we identify religion today, spread across the world we have the remains of pyramids, temples, and even written in ancient texts from centuries ago dedicated to god, to the afterlife, to what lies on the other side. And up to today’s times, religion has grown along with man.
What is Christianity and why has it been able to develop into a continuously growing and evolving religion?
The following essay will evaluate the importance of the journey that takes place from Systematic to Practical theology; this view will be explored through Ronelle Sonnenberg’s research done regarding ‘being together’ in a youth setting. This essay will first build on the basis of Practical Theology; furthermore addressing the importance of the community aspect within a youth setting; this will lead to the process that takes place between a Systematic stance, leading to a Practical theological stance.
The Catholic Church’s corruption during the late Middle Ages further enabled church reforms due to the ever-increasing view of the loss of credibility within the church by both the laity and clergy. Thus implementing the ideas of reform. Martin Luther is considered the father of the reformation where he instigated the challenging for the church, papal authority, and changed how the people were allowed to worship. Carlstadt and Zwingli, much like Luther, practiced Evangelical traditions, however, they expanded further than Luther in regards to doctrine and practice. John Calvin on the other hand challenged some of the Evangelical and Reformed Traditions by various religious changes politically and socially. Lindberg examines the Evangelical
It may seem a little bit strange, but my favorite place in town in none other than this beautiful Evangelic Church. However, it wasn’t always so.
The religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are alike in many ways but they also share many differences. Judaism and Christianity use the bible in their holy scriptures, while Islam does not. Jesus Christ is a part of all three religions as Christianity and Islam developed from Judaism. Many believe that the three religions worship, pray to, and focus on the same god. They believe this as many of the prophets are they share much in common as they share many beliefs. However, the followers of the three religions pray differently and in different places. the religions believe that their god created the world and everything in the world. The three Abrahamic religions have different histories, yet they share many similarities and difference.
The shepherd and sheep relationship is the best illustration for the relationship between pastor and parishioners. When Jesus asked Simon Peter does he love him three times and said to him “Feed my sheep”, the shepherd and flock relationship has been set. Since Jesus is our good shepherd (Jn. 10:11a), he laid out a good example for us to follow - to lay down his life for the sheep. (Jn. 10:11b) Thus, the wellness of both in and out of the parishioners should always be the concern in the pastors’ hearts. Soul care for the people is essential. Christian friendship is the foundation of Christian soul care. Pastoral ministry including preaching, teaching, and worship forms the broad context of pastoral counseling. Pastoral care is within pastoral ministry but broader than pastoral counseling. God’s love is the source and motivation. Within the pastoral care, there are spiritual direction and pastoral
A philosophy of Christian education encompasses many aspects that overlap areas of a child 's life that could not be nurtured and molded in a public school setting. Therefore, the Christian philosophy of education must include so much more. The Bible must be used as the basis for the education of children. A child should be taught in a way that will best benefit the individual that God created. He should be trained in his own way, the way he learns best. In order to do that, teachers must be able to assess their students in a manner that will reveal the learning styles that best fit each child. By doing this, the best possible education can be given to each student. Proverbs 22:6 states, "Train up a child in the way he should go..." The ways
It is very difficult for me to write this letter as I consider your role as my pastor, but I can longer walk away from what I perceive to be an unjust decision. I write from a place of pain and discouragement, because I feel as I mentioned during our discussion that the decision you made tonight against me was unjust and wrong. I mentioned to you that each time, I have gone into meetings you have always sided against me. Two weeks ago, I spoke with Sister Mason and I told her that I don’t feel like I’m a member of the church, that I felt because the church pays me, people can talk to me anyway the wish, that they can treat me the way they choose because I get paid. What transpired on tonight is consistent with those sentiments.
For my observation trip, I decided to visit St. Ignatius Church in Oregon, Ohio. I visited a mass at 11:30 on Sunday November 19. I decided to visit a catholic church because my family has no religious background whatsoever, and I decided that I could go with one of my good friends that way if I need to ask questions, she was there to answer them for me.
All welcoming, all loving, all knowing God, for me my Church is like a an close up of heaven will look . All colors, all ages, all backgrounds invited, souls are saved weekly. Faith is increased every Sunday and the Bible is even reflected on heavier Wednesday. Word Church is more then just a big grey, white, and red building, on the corner of Britain Road, with a big W symbol on the side. My church is a hospital, in the middle of a slowly dieng area. Previously dispositioned as an old furniture store, I am currently a member of, the newly remodeled Word church Akron. This was not my first church I attended, however it is the building block of my faith in Christianity . During the foundation of my childhood, I had my first experience with religion, at catholic and Pentecostal churches
A pastor has a great responsibility to minister the Word of God and to be a shepherd to his people. The pastor must be committed to biblical truths when he engages the work of the ministry. Some of these truths include: The Bible is the infallible Word of God, his preaching must be from the Word of God, and he must do proper exegesis to get to the authorial intent and proclaim that to his congregation.
The church is not meant to be a country club exclusive for specific members. I believe the church is open to all of humanity, regardless of who they are. The church should be in mission to the outside world, both locally and globally. The church should be seeking to find ways to minister to all humans and to simply be the shining light for Jesus Christ.
