Recommendations for Avon Case
Two recommendations for promoting direct-sales through consumer and the business; One is to offer incentives to its customers and second is to motivate the business to promoting its products by advertisements, establishing sales competition for employees, participating in conventions, and by endorsing franchise of its products to retail stores.
Promoting Avon’s products and high chance of increasing direct-sales is to offer incentives to its consumers. Incentives provide a positive motivational influence to encourage and excite buyers to buy the products. Such incentives, appropriate for this situation, are coupons, rebates, product samples and awards. Coupons can be attached in mail, beauty magazines, newspapers, and advertisements on mail or on the internet company’s official website. Rebates can be offered also to attract more buyers to buy the products. Rebates can be advertised also on coupons through mail or the internet. Another successful way of attracting consumers is by offering samples of Avon’s cosmetic products, which can be done door-to-door or attached on an advertisement through mail. Finally, awards through prizes, contests or sweepstakes can offer consumers the chance to win something small or big like cash or a free-trip to the Bahamas. Also, prizes can be offering a free gift whenever a consumers purchase one of Avon’s products. This last incentive option attracts more attention from consumers than the three other options.
Motivate the Avon business to reach its goals of promoting its products and gaining sales through advertisements, sales competition, participating in conventions and endorsing franchise. Advertising is the key to attracting consumers and the outcome is high sales. Such advertisement is done through media (television), mail, or the internet. The more awareness from the public of the company the more likely to attract more buyers and the outcome is high sales.

Once the target market has been identified it is important to develop a marketing strategy. In today's fast paced, information overloaded society; conveying a message about a product seems to be more difficult than ever. The consumer is bombarded with advertising everywhere they look. Today advertising not only exists on television, radio, magazines, and newspapers, it can be found on billboards, park benches, in our mailboxes, on buses, taxis, at sporting events, and on clothing.
The company should combination of marketing push and pull strategy in order to attract the customers. Sales promotions, occasional discounts, advertisement in magazines and newspaper, TV commercials and public relations will help the company to increase the sales and profits in both national and international markets.
Aware of the many misconceptions of mental illness, many programs provide education to children to teach them the importance of positively intertwining the mentally ill with society. “Beyond the Cukoo’s Nest” is an educational resource
Biologically Jody can be prescribed antidepressants or can go to a refeeding program. Before she goes through all of this she needs to be hospitalized because of her low body weight and her inability to exercise without being dizzy within a minute. This shows signs of serious medical complications. Jody is extremely underweight and now refuses to eat. This can cause serious medical complications such as anemia, dermatological problems, heart irregularities, menstrual irregularities, muscular weakness, GI problems, dizziness, hypotension and even death. Jody has been suffering from menstrual irregularities, dizziness and muscular weakness. Medical complications are deemed to be serious and medical assistance is needed immediately. Since she has these medical complications there is a possibility that she will have many other underlying ones. Jody needs to go to the hospital immediately because her life could be in danger. It is extremely important that this is the first step taken so we know how to further the treatment that she receives. She can also go through a form of therapy known as cognitive behavioral therapy. I believe that Jody should attend therapy. This therapy will allow her to receive the exposure to food that she truly needs. It will also challenge any maladaptive thoughts that she may have. She should also put on antidepressants because she suffers from anxiety because of
When a business aims to be as successful as possible in selling its products and services, it must examine in detail whether or not the products will be attractive and necessary; if the price is optimal; if the product is being distributed in the best locations; and finally, how interest and awareness can be created for the products. In order for a business to target all of these elements at the right people at the right time, it must employ the right type of marketing mix: Product, Price, Place and Promotion.
During the past decade, the state of California has been one of the fastest growing economies of the United States. The substantial growth has positioned California as the top one economy in the United States, with a gross domestic production of approximately 2.3 trillion dollars for the fiscal year 2014. The state of California has also ranked number eight in the largest world economies, passing countries like Italy and Russia (Young, 2014). Although many factors have led to this growth, the most influential have been related to the high investment of private industries and the increases on international trade and the real estate sector.
The mere mention of power brings about numerous images to one’s mind, exemplifying variant forms found to be accompanied with its use. Some uses of power can be found in government, communities and the individual. Noticeably these examples are few however the broadest and strongest. Power of an individual may be overlooked even though before there was a majority there was only self. This is where the foundation for power may be found. Before the community and large government may obtain power it starts with the inner self. Here an evaluation process takes place, analyzing morals, values, and issues that involve the larger picture. When an individual has recognized who they are and what they stand for the foundation’s first layer has just been poured. From here choosing to become educated and involved in one’s community is the next essential step finishing the foundation. Constructing the frame work and completing a sound structure involves pulling families, neighborhoods, and communities closer together. Through networking and action communities gain their power.
Promotion. Finally comes promotion - informing the customer on the qualities and advantages of the product so that the potential buyer learns about the product, prefers it to those of the competitors, and has an opportunity to buy it at some place.

Those who believe that illegal immigration is harmful argue that it discourages American citizens from seeking jobs and makes employers more dependent and reliant on hiring illegal foreigners (Ruark 1). The illegal foreigner population also allows for employers to offer its workers a low pay and bad working conditions. Immigration-reduction advocates argue that the increase of working illegal immigrants results in an increase in unemployment and low wages for native-born Americans. This is because undocumented foreigners are willing to work for less money than U.S. citizens and to be paid this small amount on a regular basis (Correa-Cabrera and Rojas-Arenaza 303). Those against having illegal immigrants hold jobs believe that America has a responsibility to its people and to protect their economic interests and they feel the U.S. is not doing that (Ruark 1). They argue that the immigration system brings in workers much faster than jobs are being created. According to the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), undocumented immigrants cost the United States “’at least $10 billion more than they contribute to the economy,’” (Correa-Cabrera and Rojas-Arenaza 302). It is estimated that a family of illegal immigrants uses about $2,000 more in services than they pay in taxes (Correa-Cabrera and Rojas-Arenaza
The “fun” side of Avon uses celebrities, stage shows, raffles, and giveaways. Using, but modifying these tactics, Avon could increase awareness about the brand and drive sales in new markets. The “fun” side also has another face, the “serious concern” side that includes cause marketing. In serious endeavors, Avon makes efforts to portray the cause, but keep a light mood that is positive and energizing.

Next there is the idea of distal relations of power, which is on the opposite end of the scale when it comes to consequences that affect our lives (Naimen, 7). People are taught throughout life that in society we are supposed to look inwards to our own individual failings or to look at proximal relations of power that are close to them to explain the negative consequences that are being experienced due to distal relations of power. This reaction is the opposite of what should be happening, which is to look outward to the broader social system for the answer to
