Introduction
Augmented reality (AR) is the virtual the object which is combination of 3D real environment in the real time. Computer aided surgery and medicine is one of the application areas in augmented reality (AR). In computer aided surgery and medicine visualization method is needed as a side of view from virtual world as a solution computer visualization in operation for example laparoscopic surgery. In this reviews, visualization include a display device based AR systems, head-mounted display (HMD) and stereoscopic images for generate images with new side of point view. Meanwhile, minimally invasive therapy (MIT) used in modern medicine. In research article (Zhang.L. & .W.J, 2005) head-mounted display (HMD) described as a device stereoscopic monochrome HMD combined real and virtual images by means of a semi-transparent mirror.
Motivations
Why augmented reality application in computer aided surgery and medicine interesting topic? The reason for conduct these studies to suggest a requirements in video-see-through HMD systems and stereoscopic images for improvement to meet the basic need requirements. Augmented reality is one of the approaches as a guideline in medical area especially for surgery and medicine. (Shuhaibar JH, 2004) defined augmented reality is a new approach in executing detailed surgical operations and more research needed to evaluate long-term clinical. The requirement actually the representational system that allowed the physician has interaction naturally and has an experience in mixed environment such in virtual environment. In study (M.Figl, 2008) stated the HMD is a device the display of additional computer generated graphics over a real-world scene. It also can show the lives images from the rea...

The term 'telesurgery' is used to describe surgical procedures that are performed by a surgeon at a distance from the patient through a virtual interface. Still in its experimental stages and limited to minimally-invasive surgical procedures, telesurgery promises to one day bridge physical barriers between surgeons and patients. When time is critical and patients are immobile or remotely situated, telesurgery has the potential to save lives. However, the technical difficulties, financial costs, and legal issues involved with this new technology make telesurgery far from commonplace today. Unlike other forms of telemedicine such as remote medical consulting, telesurgery involves direct, real-time, physical contact with a patient's body and thus demands an unprecedented degree of precision, fidelity, and expediency. This paper identifies and explores the limiting constraints of developing this new and revolutionary technology. It asserts that the main challenges to telesurgery result from its high implementation costs and the technical difficulties associated with recreating a real-time, virtual, and tactile operating environment.
The Da Vinci Surgical System is a large purpose-built robot controlled by a surgeon that performs minimally invasive surgical procedures on patients. The system incorporates an ergonomically designed surgeon's console, a patient-side module with four interactive robotic arms, each with interchangeable surgical instruments and a 3-dimensional endoscopic vision system. Powered by high-tech supercomputers, the surgeon's hand movements are scaled, filtered and then converted into precise movements of the surgical attachments. The designers of the system are a team of doctors, engineers and biomedical engineers at a company called Intuitive Surgical.
The utilization of robotics in the medical field is a cutting-edge technology which continues to develop rapidly. The main purpose for the integration of medical robotics in health-care is to sanction for a greater sense of accuracy in surgical procedures, which is something that has not been previously achieved by human capabilities alone. This sense of accuracy has incremented what makes medical robotics a unique and valuable integration to the field of medicine. The field of medical robotics offers great potential for maximizing the capabilities of medicos and surgeons when performing complex surgical procedures, or when there is a strong need for dexterity and precision in diagnosis and treatment. Although the interest is mainly on surgical robotics, medical robotics covers a wide variety of patient-care areas.
The purpose of this paper is to explain how virtual reality is used in everyday life. It is used in many ways in today's society. Several people immediately think of video games or entertainment when they hear virtual reality. Virtual reality is not only used for entertainment purposes but it is also used for medical and educational purposes. It can help people overcome their fears, deal with and treat social anxiety, and it can also be a helpful teaching tool to connect students and teachers in long-distance learning.
I chose the Da Vinci Surgical system as my topic because I am interested into going to physical therapy or into the orthopedics field after undergrad. Surgical equipment is highly important due to the hundreds of accidents that happen and also the high percentage of diseases. As these incidents occur it is important to consider the safety of the patient when it comes to cutting into their bodies. With the invention of the Da Vinci Surgical system it helped with vision and different viewpoints of the patient’s body and also improves precision. It is important to have a machine or tool for more than one type of surgery, one to use on patients with different injuries or diseases. Overall, this surgical system helps improve and help further research how precise and how in control a surgeon can be.
The medical field has revolutionized the health and well being of society. Throughout the decades, the medical field has been through sweeping changes that leave society astonished. It seems like each year that passes by, there is a new technological advancement that modernizes the medical field. Not only do these advancements modernize medicine, but they in return aid doctors, nurses, and specialists by improving their effectiveness within the field. About ten years ago, the da Vinci Surgical System was introduced to hospitals and the medical field, in general because the FDA had finally approved the system within the United States (Dunkin). The da Vinci Surgical System, also known basically as robotic surgery, introduced the use of a surgical robot, which is operated by the doctor himself using a controlled manipulator (Declan et al.). Prior to the invention of robot-assisted surgeries, most surgeons simply did a typical laparoscopic surgery on a patient. Laparoscopic surgery is “a type of surgery performed through several small incisions, rather than one (or more) large ones as in standard "open" surgery” (Schmitz). Through the development of superior technology, such as the surgical robot; it brought about changes that effected doctors, patients, and the medical world.
This is where means of a robotic device perform surgery– controlled by a human surgeon, which time and risk of complications are reduced. Virtual reality has been also being used for training purposes and, in the field of remote tele surgery in which the surgeon perform a surgery at a separate location to the patient. The main feature of this system is force feedback as the surgeon needs to be able to measure the amount of pressure to use when a delicate procedure is performed. However, there is an issue of time delay or latency which is a serious concern as any delay – can feel abnormal to the surgeon and interrupt the procedure. So there needs to be precise force feedback to prevent
... but it can also be used for digital medical images (Fang et al, 2006). In this research, digital hip joint implant was successfully transformed according to user requirements. This implant should be suitably translated and rotated to obtain the optimum position on the X-ray images of patients. With the technical object geometric transformation in medical images, it helps surgeons and users making optimal decision in determining the size of the implant before the actual surgery begins.
A surgeon is one of the most serious professions in the society for saving people. Surgeon treated through surgical intervention using specialized tools and equipment. Often the patient undergoing surgery during general anesthesia. The surgeon can specialize in a particular part of the human body; there are orthopedics, neurosurgery surgery and ear, nose and throat and plastic surgery as well as other surgical specialties. There is several types’ surgery: Surgery Elective to correct a medical condition, not threatening patient 's life, Emergency Surgery to save the patient 's life, open surgery, scope surgery, electro surgery, laser surgery, ultrasonic scalpels, Shock waves. Surgeon of disciplines important in medicine is a profession practiced by humanity and lead morally senior role because this profession needs tenderness, kindness and diligence, honesty and good
A source indicates that researches have shown that if augmented reality will be applied, it may enhance the educational level of the students. Thus, augmented reality still has its dilemmas such as the costs of its development and maintenance. Meanwhile, augmented reality is being developed to be used in the daily real life easily. Due to the development of the new computers and the applications tha...

The advancement of technology has been evolving for over decades. The use of technology in the medical field is very beneficial to the healthcare workers. In the medical field technology is being used in a number of different ways to help improve patient safety. Evolving technology has a direct effect on the medical field. Technology is used in the medical field by barcode scanning, robots, and smart infusion pumps to ensure that nurses, surgeons, and even physicians are making fewer mistakes, and to help them be more accurate when performing a procedure on a patient.
One of those systems that exist already is the head-mounted display (HMD). The head-mounted display comes in many shapes and sizes but is basically headgear, consisting of a large helmet or a pair of goggles that envelop your entire scope of vision, blocking out any sight of actual reality. There are three different ways that a 3-dimensional video format can be produced. One option is that the headgear contains two small screens (one for each eye), which display slightly different images based on what that eye would be seeing in reality. Secondly, the headgear can have one screen that combines the two video feeds for each eye and alternates the video feeds in consecutive frames. The third approach is...
