It is almost impossible to feign innocence, even for the most cunning of killers. An example of this would be the death or possible murder, of Arthur Volupides. One night Arthur and his doll of a wife, Queenie Volupides, got into a bit of an argument resulting in Queenie taking all her five feet six and a hundred and ten pounds dressed to impress, to the country club party without him. Shortly before one in the morning she invited a few friends to follow her home and finish the party there. The friends arrived ten minutes after Queenie to meet her at the door and hear of the terrible misfortune. According to Ms.Volupides, Arthur had slipped and fallen down the stairs while coming down for another drink. He was at the base of the stairs, dead …show more content…
with a glass in his hand.
The autopsy conducted concluded that Arthur had died from a head wound and that he’d been drunk. I believe that this was no accidental death but a coverup for a murder committed by Queenie Volupides. Queenie is guilty of Arthur Volupides’ murder because she has motive, the position and condition of the body isn’t realistic, and the presence of the glass doesn’t seem to belong there. The first piece of potential evidence is the Queenie had motive to kill her husband. Before she left to the party they had an argument, the topic or what was said in this tiff isn’t known but whatever it was it angered Queenie so much as to upright leave her husband at home. One theory can be concluded just off this information, Queenie may not have been running from the house because of how she felt but instead running away from the crime she had committed, trying to just get away, create evidence, or maybe buy herself time. The second piece of evidence is the unusual position and condition
of the disease’s body and surrounding area. If you were to fall down a flight of stairs wouldn’t you try to grab hold of something and try to stop yourself? No matter how drunk you were your instincts would kick in to try and protect you so naturally something would have to hold onto. In this case, the candle holders were perfectly fine, the mirror was not tilted the slightest, the rug was not moved or ruffled in any manner and the railing and walls didn’t even have a scratch. How could you fall down stairs not leaving a mark, and die? Even more compelling is the state of Arthur, if you fall down stairs it’s unlikely that you’d land at the bottom steps on your back splayed out. This position would make more sense if the victim had fallen backwards, not having anything to stop himself with and not even aware of the event. The glass seems to be the odd object out; somehow it is perfectly intact and even has a dead man holding it. If he were really carrying the glass during the decent then it should have been broken or dropped. There is no possible way for Arthur to keep the glass safe while trying to protect himself if he even was aware of the danger. I conclude that Queenie killed her husband Arthur Volupides. Those who oppose this conclusion may bring up unexplained things like the lack of time Queenie would have had to set up for the friends. Maybe she had started carrying out a plan before the party or she really is telling the truth. The stove still cooking could be explained by her wanting to cook for the guest but could very well be another cover. The details of this case could very well support both sides of an argument but only one is right. Did Arthur die at the hand of drunk misfortune or did Queenie do something more sinister to her husband?
The Entrepreneurs I've gotten was the Jodrey Family. I will first talk about Roy A. Jodrey who was the one that started it then lead to his son John J.Jodrey.
At around eight thirty AM Queenie Trap, a rather small woman at five feet and six inches and one hundred and ten pounds, left her house after a fight with her husband Arthur Trap. Had she known this was the last time she would see him alive she wouldn’t have left, or maybe she already knew about his untimely demise. Queenie has her motive, her fights with her husband are more than enough, although Queenie is rather small she knew Arthur was drunk. The investigators should rule Arthur’s death as a murder because she had a motive, and although some would say that Queenie’s size means she couldn’t overpower him he was drunk, she also had ten minutes alone with the dead body of Arthur.
On November 16, 2017, Horace Verbermockle was found lifeless as he laid down in the bathroom floor at his house. What happened to Horace Verbermockle?, his wife Minnie Verbermockle claims that Horace must have slipped on soap before she found him unconscious on the floor and alerted the doctor, who stated that Horace was dead when he got there. What really happened that night was after Queenie got back from the club Author and Queenie got into another fight after she found that he was completely drunk. Eventually Queenie grabbed something and hit him over the head which was the cause the wound in the back of his head that he died from. She panicked and tried to stage it like he fell down the stairs so she dragged his body to the stairs failing to put him in the right position and put the glass in his hand that was suppose to be broken because he fell down the stairs. I believe Queenie had killed her husband and framed it as an

What a strange place Europe is when men like this are reduced to waiting patiently in the anteroom of a young American of no importance
He was innocent and the police forced him to make up a story and confess to a crime he did not commit, utilizing the mental strain of interrogation against him. Were it not for the small room, distressing ride and cruel assignment to write a letter to his recently murdered sister — perhaps Crowe would have never confessed. Using their suspect's mental fragility to their advantage is another example of how interrogators are able to elicit false confessions from those subordinate to them.
innocence is also accused of being a witch. You also couldn’t you try proving your innocence
What does Sairy say the Wilsons have been to the Joads? She says that they have been nothing but trouble.
There is much to be said about innocence. If one is with innocence than one can do no wrong. But that is not all to be said. Innocence is not always a good thing. It could make one naive or blind to certain evils. Like in the case of Billy Budd. Billy was innocent from evil and therefore could not see the evil of John Claggart approaching him, out to destroy him.
It is man’s natural instinct to protect himself. Therefore, that person would do anything in his power to be safe, especially if they committed a criminal act; but that does not make them innocent. In the palace of the Denmark Royal family, there was a criminal act that was carried out by the beloved Lord Hamlet. He not only had slain the King’s advisor, Polonius, but also his own friends Rosencrantz and Guildenstern as well. In his defence, Lord Hamlet’s attorney pleads the insanity defence. However, after reviewing the case and analysing different events that had taken place, the crown is convinced that Lord Hamlet’s insanity is just a mask that he puts on to escape from the responsibility of his bloody deeds. The many points that were considered that brought the crown to this conclusion include: how he had initially disclosed his plan to act mad in order to avenge his father’s death, as well as, on several occasions; Hamlet himself reveals to certain people that he is sane. Lastly, his acts of insanity are only present in front of certain people and not around others. All these points prove that Hamlet is only pretending to be mad and should be punished for his actions.
Andreas Vesalius was well known for his dissections in the 1500’s. Growing up in Brussels he was captivated by the anatomy of animals. Throughout his childhood Andreas dissected many small animals trying to uncover life’s mystery. This curiosity regarding anatomy came very naturally, due to the fact that he was born into a family of physicians. Vesalius started his formal education at the University of Louvain; then traveled to Paris to continue his studies in medicine. During his life time, Vesalius was an accomplished physician, and professor of anatomy. He also received his degree as a doctor of medicine at the age of twenty-two. Vesalius writings and teachings set the foundation of anatomy we know today, hence why he received the title; founder of modern anatomy.

From the ages of 22 to 28, he traveled throughout Europe, learning about the most recent advances in mathematics and the natural sciences, including recent discoveries by Boyle and Hooke.
Through history we understand that a confession was treated as a conviction. The use of physical torture was very rampant and was used as a means to extract confessions, and at that time all confessions were routinely admitted into evidence without question. However, gradually over the centuries, the status of confessions in the legal system shifted from the courts’ limiting the acceptability into evidence of ordinary confessions in the mid-1700s, to totally excluding compelled confessions by the mid to late 1800s. The main purpose of this essay is to examine and understand why innocent people sometimes confess to crimes they did not commit. This essay will also be looking into factors that coerce innocent suspects to give false statements and confess to crimes they did not commit during police interroga...
