The topic of gun control is a reoccurring issue to be debated about in the United States. According to different groups of people, there are various opinions about this topic. The safest resolution would be to place stricter laws while attempting to possess a weapon. Crime is inevitable; however, the amount of casualties can be reduced. If guns were banned all together, there would be numerous protests regarding the action passed. Many individuals would protest against the actions leading to an increase rate of crime occurring. People would claim it would be unconstitutional as it would violate the second amendment. Even if guns were banned, people would still find a way to purchase guns. These options mostly include illegal methods. When someone strictly opposes something, they will find a way to get their desired wishes. Instead of causing chaos, allowing guns but rather in a stricter sense will benefit the nation and continue to keep the people satisfied. Placing stricter laws would make this nation a peaceful place. These stricter laws will include intensive background checks. It would make it challenging to access a weapon. When purchasing the weapons, they may only purchase another weapon after a certain amount of time along with a cleared background check each time. Along with a required time, there should be a limited amount of guns per household. Most times there is an excessive amount of unnecessary weapons being handed out, which needs to be prevented. In addition, there should be a strict restriction on possessing military weapons. Military weapons are not needed in an household.
