Merriam-Webster defines euthanasia as “the act or practice of killing or permitting the death of hopelessly sick or injured individuals (as persons or domestic animals) in a relatively painless way for reasons of mercy.” As a globally issues, euthanasia is always in controversial. Swanton,D argued that euthanasia protects the rights of individuals and the freedom of religious expression. Additionally, Sydeny,D outlines europe’s increasing acceptance of euthanasia which may mean that euthanasia is a preferable choice for people. What is more, the famous writer Terry Pratchett states his desire to undergo euthanasia in his Richard Dissembly lecture, These evidence offer great support to the point for the reason that these famous people who are known by the public are responsible for the actions they done therefore they may consider the effect of saying such words. Therefore what they do have already undergone deep consideration which in further prove the strength of this point. Additionally, the writer may think more about the problem of euthanasia than normal people so as to the increasing strength of the argument. But this argument also has some weakness. The metal states of these people are unknown based on the fact that they are facing death, this may distort the evidence because they may hold different opinions before and change not until death.
