Avengers: Unbiased Heroes or Prejudiced Humans “Maybe I am a monster … I don't think I would know if I were one. I'm not what you are, and not what you intended. So, there may be no way to make you trust me”. Why does Vision say this words to the rest of the Avengers? Most of the Avengers are humans who have either exceptional skills or own a superpower. However, when it comes to superheroes who do not belong to the human race, certain issues are brought to light. Bruce Banner –the human face of Hulk– is a brilliant scientist who, unlike his teammates, looks weak and awkward. He is a helpful ally of the good gang, but his character is depicted as an unsafe animal. Once he transforms into Hulk, he becomes a brainless green giant monster. His team knows what he is capable of once he transforms, and they seem to be frightened of him. For example, after the attack to the HYDRA base, Black Widow tries to calm him down in order to return him to his human appearance; even though she performs the lullaby that calms him down, she still looks frightened of his monster side. But his colleagues are not the only ones who do not trust him completely. Because his transformation relies on his change of emotions, Banner does not trust himself either. He prefers to isolate himself and focus on science tasks, like when he and Tony Stark worked together to create Ultron, in order to remain emotion-free. If having a monster-like body implies that someone cannot be trustworthy or fully good, then Hulk is being discriminated based on his
In the introduction, the author has done a good job engaging the audience with emotions, and painting a vivid scene of the seals being slaughtered. This essay does a good job of acknowledging the other point of views. This essay also has a good, clear sense of structure. The author has a strong thesis statement, that gave a clear indication of what the following paragraphs are about.
In 1893, Queen Lili’uokalani of Hawaii gave up her throne to the United States of America. About five years after in 1898, Hawaii was officially annexed and became a part of the U.S.A. During this time, the Hawaiian people were bitter and mournful as they watched the foreigners slowly take over their kingdom. Many foreigners came to Hawaii to achieve one goal, to increase the power of foreigners and decrease the power of Native Hawaiians. The kingdom of Hawaii was overthrown with the use of force and was unethically taken. Although Hawaii received benefits that were mainly in their economy, it still does not make up for the wrongful taking of the Hawaiian kingdom.
It’s the way they see you and it’s the way they identify you as. They see you completly differently then you see yourself. You might do good deeds to people but they only see the bad deeds you did. They ignore the fact that you are a good person and focus on the fact that you are bad.
In America, every individual has the right to a fair trial, but how fair is the trial? When an individual is on trial, his or her life is on the line, which is decided by twelve strangers. However, who is to say that these individuals take their role seriously and are going to think critically about the case? Unfortunately, there is no way to monitor the true intentions of these individuals and what they feel or believe. In the movie, Twelve Angry Men, out of the twelve jurors’ only one was willing to make a stance against the others, even though the evidence seemed plausible against the defendant. Nevertheless, the justice system is crucial; however, it is needs be reformed.

Throughout this semester, in the study for the self, one question has endured, whether each person has a built-in, authentic self, each person strives to identify, or whether each person is “free” to develop their self through their own personal experiences. Both sides to the question have evidence to support their beliefs about the self in every human, and whether it is one consistent self, or it

Many students who are enrolled in FFA are already heading in the right direction to a bright future. FFA has many career benefits within the program. Any of the career development events (CDE’s) have something that will tie to a career in agriculture or to a career of other sorts. According to the National FFA Organization, “FFA members embrace concepts taught in agricultural science classrooms nationwide, build valuable skills through hands-on experiential learning and each year demonstrate their proficiency in competitions based on real-world agricultural skills”(“Statistics”). There are so many careers that tie into FFA, and many of them have to do with agriculture. Not every career that has to do with agriculture is about farming. There are so many different aspects of the agriculture industry that many people never think twice about. Most people are not interested in agriculture because they think it is just about farming or

Have you ever felt stuck? Wherever you are, it’s the absolute last place you want to be. In the book Into the Wild, Chris McCandless feels stuck just like the average everyday person may feel. Chris finds his escape plan to the situation and feels he will free himself by going off to the wild. I agree with the author that Chris McCandless wasn’t a crazy person, a sociopath, or an outcast because he got along with many people very well, but he did seem somewhat incompetent, even though he survived for quite some time.
The Turn of the Screw by Henry James has been the cause of many debates about whether or not the ghosts are real, or if this is a case of a woman with psychological disturbances causing her to fabricate the ghosts. The story is told in the first person narrative by the governess and is told only through her thoughts and perceptions, which makes it difficult to be certain that anything she says or sees is reliable. It starts out to be a simple ghost story, but as the story unfolds it becomes obvious that the governess has jumps to conclusions and makes wild assumptions without proof and that the supposed ghosts are products of her mental instability which was brought on by her love of her employer
