Miami to me is many different things. It is all the different races of people that live in harmony. It is walking down the street and smelling all the different types of Island food. It is the beautiful beaches and the salty smell in the air. There is nothing better than the beautiful orange and pink sunset with the nice cool breeze blowing your hair when night approaches. I think my favorite thing of Miami is no one is the same; but that’s perfectly okay. When you walk down Collins Ave you are bound to hear one person speaking Spanish, one speaking English, and maybe even some Portuguese. There are so many different cultures that are all mixed together to make this beautiful city. So many immigrants come here to seek refuge and give their family better lives. The fact that all around the world people are saying there is still racism alive but in Miami we don’t even know what that word means. When you get off the train at government station there is the most delicious smell in the air of all different foods. Then when you walk down the street there is usually a bunch of food trucks. They have Mexican food, Cuban food, soul food, and plenty more. It’s like traveling all over the world and really you’re just walking a few feet. They also have vendors that sell clothes from other countries. The fabric is so soft it feels like your touching a cloud. The beach is Miami’s biggest attraction. People come from all over the world to hear our seagulls cawing, smell the sea- salt filled air, and walk through the warm white sand. When other cities are zero below freezing, we are wearing bathing suits and riding jet skis. The best part of the beach is when the sun is setting and you see the sky turning different colors. Its amazing to set up a bonfire with a group of friends, listen to music, and just enjoy the laid back Miami
