The constellation Aquarius is one of the Zodiac signs. It is universally associated with water. The translation is "The Water Bearer". I chose this sign because I really like the ocean and swimming and just water in general. The stars in Aquarius are: Sadalmelik (Alpha Aqr), Sadalsuud (Beta Aqr), Sadalachbia (Gamma Aqr), Skat (Delta Aqr), Albali (Epsilon Aqr), Ancha (Theta Aqr), Situla (Kappa Aqr). Sadalsuud is the brightest star in the constellation. The myth of Aquarius is about the most beautiful young man in Troy, named Ganymede. He was tending his father's sheep on Mount Ida when Zeus saw him. Apparently Zeus was bi-sexual so he decided that Ganymede was so irresistibly beautiful that he wanted him for himself. Zeus turned into the shape
One of the myths was, Polyphemus was in love with a sea nymph named Galateia, a sicilian nereid who had cheated on him with a man named Acis. When Polyphemus discovered this he crushed Acis under a rock. Another myth was the story of Odysseus. This story was when Polyphemus had captured Odysseus one of victorious greek leaders and twelve of his crew members when they were sailing for home from the trojan war. They became captured when they arrived to an unknown island of cyclopes. Odysseus and his men came upon the cave of Polyphemus, and went inside in hopes to steal food while Polyphemus was away tending his flock. Curiosity got the best of Odysseus as he wanted to see what a cyclops looked like. Odysseus and his men hid in the cave waiting for Polyphemus to come back.
Eventually Odysseus is set free over the demands of Poseidon. You can also look at Calypso and see how this goddess, nymph, has power. This is shown as Odysseus is leaving and she asks him if he would want to be immortal in return for him staying with her forever. This shows that she has power, more than many women, and can grant anyone immortality. Homer also describes her as lucky, that she is beautiful, but you can tell that inside.
... in deceptiveness and similarity with her: “Two of a kind, we are, contrivers, both. Of all men now alive you are the best in plots and storytelling. My own fame is for wisdom among the gods-deceptions, too” (8. 379-383). It is as if though Athena represents these qualities heavenly, whereas Odysseus represents them on earth. Athena further exclaims to Odysseus, “Whoever gets around you must be sharp and guileful as a snake; even a god might bow to you in ways of dissimulation. You! You chameleon! Bottomless bag of tricks!” (8. 371-375). It is of no surprise that by Odysseus and Athena gathering forces and wit in this journey, nothing could stand in their way and Odysseus’s homecoming. Thousands of years later, the Odyssey stands proof to that.

Athena is the goddess everyone wants to have as guardian for his life. She went against her uncle Poseidon to fight for her Odysseus. At one point, we can even think that Athena is also in love to Odysseus because she has never him down. But the real truth is Athena is an amazing goddess who protect Odysseus no matter what because this is the Love she has for him
I've chosen the Aries constellation, because it's my Zodiac sign. It's between Taurus and Pisces in the northern celestial hemisphere with Pisces to the West and Taurus to the East. Aries, the name, is Latin and means ram. Corresponding to that, ♈ is the Aries symbol and it represents a ram's horns.
What makes the depiction between Athena and Aphrodite interesting is the different ways they are portrayed even sharing the similarity of being born strictly from male only. Athena from the all-powerful king of the gods Zeus and Aphrodite from Ouronos. Though they were both born from man alone, the content of these births caused Athena to be expressed in a more dignified, respected, and superior way. Hesiod’s recount of the births of Athena and Aphrodite in his Theogony reveals the source of Athena’s superiority. According to the Theogony, Ouranos’ genitals are thrown into the sea where they mix with the sea foam to result in Aphrodite (Hesiod 180-192). Aphrodite is said to be called, by Hesiod, “Philommedes, fond of a man’s genitals” ( Hesiod, 200-201). In contrast, Hesiod writes that Athena is born from Zeus’ head (Hesiod 924) after Zeus consumes her mother Metis, the goddess whose name means wisdom, for fear of her giving birth to someone who was destined to be his match in wisdom (Hesiod 894-900).
Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, represents courage, civilization, law, strength, the arts, and skill. Athena had a significant role in the Greek mythology and in the lives of the Athenians and all Greeks.

Zodiac signs are based off the astrological constellations that are divided into twelve sections. Each sign has its own special meaning according to what constellation a birthday falls on, and all have names. The names of the Zodiacs are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Capricorn, Leo, Libra, Virgo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Pisces, and Aquarius. Each of these signs has an element, in example: Earth, Water, Fire, and Air. The Earth signs are Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo. The Water signs are Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. The Fire signs are Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. The Air signs are Libra, Aquarius, and Gemini (Zodiac Signs, Characteristics, and Meanings).
The Rape of Europa is a myth that carries the same theme as many other myths related to Zeus. Zeus sees a young maiden and is struck by her beauty. He wants to have his way with her, but he fears his wife Hera finding out. To overcome this, he takes the form of a beautiful white bull and seduces Europa to climb onto his back. Once she is on his back, he takes her out to sea to the island of Crete, where he can impregnate her without Hera intervening. Out of this affair would come three sons that would all have a significant impact on both Crete and Greece.
Aquaponics is a combination process of hydroponics and aquaculture. Hydroponics is raising fish and aquaculture is growing plants without adding soil. The aquaponics process is very simple and practical. The waste of the fish is pumped into the growing bed of plants. The plants eventually use the fish waste that is a nitrifying bacterium as its food supply. Moreover, the fish waste holds valuable nutrients that are essential for the growth of plants. The water from the plant bed gets purified and returns back to the fish tank. The plants filter the water and give out a clean fresh water and environment to the fish. So, in this process there are equal benefits present for both the fish and plants.
Cancer, for example, is located in the astrological element of Water. Of the four astrological elements (Fire, Earth, Air, and...
The 1973 Aquarius festival was the event that changed the conservative, quiet town of Nimbin into the countercultural capital of Australia . The main aim of the festival as stated by Graeme Dunstan, one of the festival organisers was to “Organise a festival without a program, and invite all the aspects of the counterculture to assemble to the site and see what community we created out of that”. Nimbin was a dying dairy town in desperate need of business, located in the Northern Rivers of NSW. When the Australian Union of Students went searching for a rural town with a warm climate and facilities to hold the festival, the isolated town of Nimbin suited their festival needs. Despite the differences in lifestyle and values, Nimbin agreed to
What is an astrology sign? Well, most people already know that each individual astrology sign is based off of a human being’s date of birth. The month and the day of a person’s birthday is what determines a single person’s astrological sign. All of these findings through astrology reflect back within the older ages of history. “The earliest known astrological records date back to Babylon, 1645 BC, and the earliest horoscope to 410 BC” (“History of Astrology”). Most descriptions and superstitious myths of astrology actually reveal truth in some ways, and whether or not people believe, the debate still continues.
