RESAERCH METHODOLOGY :
DEFINITION : ’’ research methodology is a systematic way of investigation directed to the discovery of some facts by careful study of a subject,a course of critical and scientific inquiry.’’
There are various types of research ,they are as under :
1.) Descriptive research vs. analytical researc
2.) Applied research vs. fundamental research
3.) Quantitative research vs. qualitative research
4.) Conceptual research vs. empirical research
5.) Some other types of research
• Descriptive research v/s analytical research :
The research in which surveys and fact-finding enquiries of different kinds is made is known as descriptive research .description of the state of affairs as it exists at present is the motive of such

• Applied research vs. fundamental research :
The research in which the aim is findings a solution for an immediate problem facing a society or an industry /business organization is known as applied research.
The research which is mainly concerned with generalization and with formulation of a theory is known as fundamental research .
• Quantitative research vs. qualitative research :
The research in which concerned with qualitative phenomenon is known as the qualitative research.
• Conceptual research vs. empirical research :
The research which is related to some abstract idea of theory is known as …. Conceptual research .
The research that relies on experience of observation alone, often without due regard for system and theory is known as empirical theory. this is also known as empirical research.
• Other researches:
The research is confined to a single time period is known as one time research .
The research that is carried on over several times period is known as longitudinal research.
The research which is carried out in the field is known as the field

Identify the hypothesis (testable question) that the study was trying to answer and describe the methods of research used in each study.
Having satisfied this researchers then make epistemological assumptions surrounding the subject matter. They must decide on the type of evidence to be collected, considering which evidence will deliver optimum validity. They must decide which stance to take during research, objective or neutral, considering which would be possible or even favourable. They must then think about how this can be best achieved. Should the research be classified as 'scientific' or 'unscientific' and what determines this?
If it were a person who was being studied, you would have been interviewing the person about their childhood and their family, as a result developing a report of their life and early life. In contrast, longitudinal, investigates the future. They research the consequences of a certain situation that has happened. The key feature of the case study method is subject matter. The subject matter is usually a person or an animal.
Research is defined as systematic investigation in order to establish facts and reach new conclusions (OUP, 2014). The biopsychosocial model has already been described.
For everything that occurs, there will somehow be something that caused the action to happen. It is more of a cause and effect ideal or simple a reaction to an action. In terms of research academics, independent and dependent variables are concepts or attributes to certain things that occur such as drug use, crime, or domestic abuse. For example, stress or other personal problems may lead to someone to use drugs. Also, poverty may lead someone to commit crime. In addition, a power controlled individual may cause a partnership to suffer physical or verbal abuse.
There are, however some problems of snapshot studies, like the one carried out by Bandura. 1. Snapshot studies are time specific; this means that the results are dependant on whatever is going on at the time. For example the mood of the participants or experimenter can change on a daily basis and therefore affect the results, because it can change the way people behave or change the way that the experimenter will look at the data. Cultural change over time may also have an affect on the results or the interpretation of the results.
Experimental studies can either be randomized, an example is community trials, or no-randomized (Quasi-experimental) which are clinical trials. Unlike experimental studies, observational studies are uncontrolled and they have broader subjects. Under observational studies are prospective studies which have regards to exposure, cause, or characteristics. Cross-sectional and retrospective studies are conducted under observational studies and are broken into two. Cross-sectional studies are time of study and retrospective are before time of study.
Qualitative in this example as it could be considered ethnography as the research is looking
There are four purposes of research: exploratory, descriptive, explanatory, and application (evaluation and policy analysis). Exploratory research investigates a problem and attempts to understand it in a preliminary manner (Maxfield & Babbie, 2009). Descriptive research outlines or describes the extent of the problem (Maxfield & Babbie, 2009). Explanatory research attempts to analyze the cause of the problem (Maxfield & Babbie, 2009). Application research explores or evaluates whether a specific program or policy is operational or working to resolve the problem (Maxfield & Babbie, 2009).
Research is systematic way to find out facts and knowledge as Kothari (2006) has analyzed that research is the pursuit of truth with the help of study, observation, comparison and experiment; the search for knowledge through objective and systematic method of finding solutions to a problem. However there are two types of researches one is by Purpose and other is by method. The type by purpose falls into three categorize such as Basic, Applied and Action Research.
Research is an art of systematic investigation. In other words research is a scientific and
Before action research, the traditional research was the main method of research conduct by schools. Traditional research finds are often generalizations about a concern or problem. This type of research is similar to the scientific method. First, one must identify the problem. Second-ly, form a question, then perform the research. Third, predict response to the question such as a hypothesis. Next, perform some experiment in which the data is examined to verify if the data supports our hypothesis. Afterward, a comprehensive written report is made based on the obser-vations and provides a resolution of the problem.
There are various approaches, which can be valuable for researchers to utilize when deciding an effective research problem. The failure of a researcher to be precise in the description of the problem statement can have damaging outcomes in the understanding of the research. A theoretical framework refers to a set of interrelated ideas or themes, such as a concept, but not fundamentally worked out. Determining on what comprises a theoretical framework of the study begins with recognizing and creating a good researchable problem.
It would also work on the Cross-sectional method of study and the longitudinal method of study. The research scholar would also work to draw a comparison between both the methods of the study.
Research which is also known as the search for knowledge is an art of scientific search for specific information. According to Clifford Woody, the research includes defining and redefining problems, formulating hypothesis and suggested solutions, collecting, organising and evaluating data, making deductions and reaching conclusion and further testing whether the conclusion will fit into formulating hypothesis. Research Methodology is a scientific and systematic way of finding solution to a problem. In this research, researcher has studied various steps for research like problem along with the logic behind them. For this study, researcher must know various research techniques like mean, mode,
