“The modern German anti-Semitism was based on racial ideology which stated that the Jews were subhuman while the “Aryan” race was ultimately superior,” ("Nazi Propaganda"): (Goebbels)“I beg you and particularly those of you who carry the cross throughout the land to become somewhat more serious when I speak of the enemy of the German people, namely, the Jew, ("Nazi Propaganda"). “Streicher declared: "You must realize that the Jew wants our people to perish. That is why you must join us and leave those who have brought you nothing but war, inflation, and discord",” ("Nazi Propaganda"). “We know that Germany will be free when the Jew has been excluded from the life of the German people,” ("Ministry Of Public Enlightenment"). After Goebbels 's started to target the Jew’s with mean propaganda: It made blaming Jews a lot easier for Germany’s

One of the most controversial topics in the United States in recent years has been the route which should be undertaken in overhauling the healthcare system for the millions of Americans who are currently uninsured. It is important to note that the goal of the Affordable Care Act is to make healthcare affordable; it provides low-cost, government-subsidized insurance options through the State Health Insurance Marketplace (Amadeo 1). Our current president, Barack Obama, made it one of his goals to bring healthcare to all Americans through the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010. This plan, which has been termed “Obamacare”, has come under scrutiny from many Americans, but has also received a large amount of support in turn for a variety of reasons. Some of these reasons include a decrease in insurance discrimination on the basis of health or gender and affordable healthcare coverage for the millions of uninsured. The opposition to this act has cited increased costs and debt accumulation, a reduction in employer healthcare coverage options, as well as a penalization of those already using private healthcare insurance.
In the late 19th century, Jews had legal equality in most places; however, having already endured anti-Semitism for hundreds of years, Jews began to see a rise in the persecution of their people. Jews had suffered pogrom, unfair imposes and were denied fair offices throughout Europe. Racists said that Jews were different, thereby inferior, physically, intellectually and spiritually (Perry 146). Hermann Ahlwardt, a member of the Reichstag, had strong views against the Jews and of...
The Nazi Party, controlled by Adolf Hitler, ruled Germany from 1933 to 1945. In 1933, Hitler became the Chancellor of Germany and the Nazi government began to take over. Hitler became a very influential speaker and attracted new members to his party by blaming Jews for Germany’s problems and developed a concept of a “master race.” The Nazis believed that Germans were “racially superior” and that the Jewish people were a threat to the German racial community and also targeted other groups because of their “perceived racial inferiority” such as Gypsies, disabled persons, Polish people and Russians as well as many others. In 1938, Jewish people were banned from public places in Germany and many were sent to concentration camps where they were either murdered or forced to work.
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) was enacted in 2010 and was designed to insure millions of people, who did not have health insurance, reduce out-of-pocket expenses for families and reduce costs for small businesses. In essences, when enrollment opens in 2013, the ACA law will target the 42 million Americans that according to a Census Bureau Survey are uninsured (Klein, 2014). Indeed, Obama Care from a utilitarian point of view is a huge improvement in medical services to a larger proportion of the population, that prior to this law did not have insurance available to them, including improved availability of health care services and reigning in out of control insurance companies.
The anti-Semitic propaganda incurred one situation at a swimming pool in Heigenbruken. About twenty young bathers demanded the Jews there be removed. Arguments with the manager did not bring about their immediate removal, but from then on a sign was placed forbidden the entry of Jews into the swimming area (“The Nuremberg Laws”). In the months after the Nuremberg laws were officially legal, the Law for the Protection of German Blood & Honor and the Reich Citizenship Law were enforced throughout the community. The Law for the Protection of German Blood & German Honor highlighted the importance of the purity of German Blood being maintained. It forbade marriage and sex between Jews and pure Germans, along with the Jewish employment of female Germans under the age of 45. The Reich Citizenship Law deprived all Jews of their citizenship and entitled citizenship to only the Germans who supported the Reich (“The Nuremberg Laws”). Aside from their civil rights being denied, Jews could not perform jobs, attend public school, or even possess wealth, all whilst forced to wear a gold star (“Nuremberg Laws,” USHMM). These laws didn’t stop at those who practiced Judaism; it affected half-Jews and quarter-Jews as well. Someone could have been a Christian, but had Jewish ancestors, and been stripped of the same rights. The racial theorist, Dr. Gercke, argues “…any Christian or Muslim, fifty, twenty-five, or five percent Jewish is classified as Mischlinge. Full Jews are classified as any German with at least three Jewish grandparents (“Nuremberg Laws,” Jewish Virtual Library).” In Hitler’s eyes, anyone who was more than fifty percent Jewish was a lost cause, and would just taint his master
This new definition of what it is to be a citizen and a human did not end with the fall of Adolf Hitler, but continues to this day. In the United States alone, roughly 4% of the population is made up of undocumented people of all ages. This is a combination of immigrants, refugees and those previous citizens that have had their rights stripped away. The restriction of citizenship results in a restriction of rights that one human can possess while living amongst millions that will never know what that would
During the late 1920s and early 1930s, Germany was experiencing great economic and social hardship. Germany was defeated in World War I and the Treaty of Versailles forced giant reparations upon the country. As a result of these reparations, Germany suffered terrible inflation and mass unemployment. Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Nazi party who blamed Jews for Germany’s problems. His incredible public speaking skills, widespread propaganda, and the need to blame someone for Germany’s loss led to Hitler’s great popularity among the German people and the spread of anti-Semitism like wildfire. Hitler initially had a plan to force the Jews out of Germany, but this attempt quickly turned into the biggest genocide in history. The first concentration camps in Germany were established soon after Hitler's appointment as chancellor in January 1933.“...the personification of the devil as the symbol of all evil assumes the living shape of the Jew.” –Adolf Hitler

One of the Nuremberg laws is they excluded the Jews from German life. According to the web page (http://www.thenagain.info/WebChron/WestEurope/NuremLaws.html) this law was made so that the Jews couldn't raise the german flag. It also made the only german maids that worked with the Jews had to be over 45 years or older to
