1. Reflections arising from this poem.
The poem is like a response for everyone saying, “I’m just a nurse” without the realization of how that sentence humiliates the nursing in general. Susanne repeated this sentence in the sake of making that people discover the difference a nurse could make. A nurse is a professor who teach students to be nurses, a teacher who teach patients and their families about health, a researcher who helps nurses learn effective ways of health caring, a nurse is more than a word to say. When I first choose a nurse as my academic major, my parents were disappointed because they never know how great is nursing. However, the poem empowered me as a future nurse to have the best response for whom saying “just a nurse.”

What do you think needs to happen to change this belief that some nurses have "I'm just a nurse"?
Anyone who has any doubt of what a nurse can do should read “I’m just a nurse” poem, which summarized the major benefits of nurses and nursing as a whole. As I felt impressed with the variety of things a nurse could involve in and assist the health care, everyone’s believes would change to the better after reading it. Moreover, I believe that nursing is getting known more and more and with time, there will be no one thinks about nursing in a negative way. For nurses who don’t realize the role of nurses, they should empower themselves with lifelong learning to be more appropriate to the nursing
