“Flowers Of Algernon” Blended Essay “Flowers Of Algernon,” by Daniel Keyes, is a story that had me thinking about my intelligence. I told myself that I need to get smart and when I do get smart I will find something good I can use it for and maybe even make a career out of it. So, I had to have a very important conversation with my mom about getting smarter and my “mom said that I should work harder to get smarter” I agreed.
