PURPOSE: The purpose of this study is to issue my recommendations to the CEO and Board of directions of Krispy Kreme. This corporation is on a downward spiral and changes must be made at a rapid pace in order for any hopes of survival. It is struggling financially and struggling to remain a valued member of the New York Stock Exchange.
My first recommendation was to release top management and put the company in the hands of an industry specialist experienced with financial reconstruction and public trust renewal. The KKD Directors chose Stephen Cooper to lead their corporation and I will be working directly with him and his firm, Kroll, Zolfo, Cooper, LLC.
MISSION STATEMENT: In 2004, Krispy Kreme had plans to develop a mission statement, but I was unable to locate one. Due to the current problems that KKD is experiencing, I would suggest that a mission statement should be constructed. There is a logical way of conducting business in accordance with the facts and circumstances of the industry, however, the concept should incorporate the strategic ?vision? of KKD. Precise and concise, I would enter a suggestion of the following:
Krispy Kreme?s strategy is to develop, manufacture, market and distribute fresh doughnuts made from quality ingredients that enhance their freshness.

The founders of Keurig Inc. created the company to develop an innovative technique which allows customers to brew one perfect cup of gourmet coffee at a time. In this case, the CEO Nick Lazaris along with the other leaders of Keurig Inc. must determine how to successfully enter the at-home-market for use at customers’ homes, while maintaining a healthy relationship with Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc. (GMCR) and Van Houtte. GMCR and Van Houtte are two of the company’s main roaster partners that own a 70% stake in Keurig, so they want the business to succeed but are a little apprehensive about the company’s marketing and pricing strategies.
To analyze the economic conditions for Tim Hortons, firstly, we will talk about the worldwide economic situation and the specific economic condition in Canada, then shows how these factors that affect operation of Tim Hortons.
This Company made their mission statement in 2012 and according to me this mission and vision statement is good but these need loads of changes as I have read in this course mission statement should be:-
TCBY has been a frozen treats product innovator from the day its first shop opened in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1981. The great-tasting, low-fat frozen yogurt concept received an enthusiastic response from an increasingly health-conscious public. Its trendy new product propelled the company to the forefront of franchising, and was the ‘first in a long line of ground-breaking menu items that anticipated consumer preferences and continually refreshed the TCBY concept’ (Conlin 2001, p. 133). But TCBY products are just one of the reasons that thousands of operators have concluded that a TCBY franchise is the preferred opportunity in branded frozen treats, and a dynamic partner in any co-branded concept. However, TCBY is facing a lot of problems, both internal and external, during the difficult period from the late 1980s to the early 1990s, especially the problem with its franchising system. The purpose of this report is to provide a comprehensive situation analysis of TCBY, with special reference to its franchising system, and identify several concerned issues of TCBY and its franchisees, and how these issues have negatively affected the relationship between them. Furthermore, this report also provides three recommendations in the attempt to diminish these concerned issues and better maintain the relationship between TCBY and its franchisees, and most importantly, help TCBY to increase the company’s performance and achieve their strategic goals in the next few years.
...alented young managers in this area need to be aggressively obtained for long term growth. For a quick fix, this service should be outsourced to handle current needs. Distribution channels need to improve as well. Currently, competitor’s products are easily found at major retail channels. Nestle is in the position to gain a strong hold on the home dessert market for ice cream. Ice-fili needs to compete more aggressively in this portion of the market. In addition franchises and fast food chains should be targeted for partnerships or joint ventures so Ice-Fili’s ice cream can grow in association with a post meal dessert opposed to simply impulsive snack purchases. A key avenue to explore is an Initial Public Offering. This would generate enough funds to continue capital investment in technology desperately needed as well as promoting international market growth.
Social media was created with the purpose of aiding the general population to communicate with one another. these platforms have other uses as well, but mainly for communication. However, given handheld and other communication devices that are always connected to the internet, it is becoming increasingly rare for people to make human interactions such as meeting up with people face-to-face. In some cases loneliness, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and heightened aggression are possible repercussions of spending copious amount of time on the internet. Using social media gives people, more specifically adolescents, exposure to bullying and harassment. According to a study in UK, social platforms such as Facebook is giving cause to anxiety and increased feeling of inadequacy. In this study, half the respondents stated that social media had changed their behaviour, felt less confident in contrast to their online friends’ achieveme...
The chief element of Krispy Kreme's strategy is to deliver a better doughnut and to appeal to customers in new ways. They have taken great steps to insure customer satisfaction from the use of their proprietary flour recipe to their automated doughnut making machines. They have chosen to target mainly markets with 100,000 households. They also were exploring smaller-sized stores for secondary markets.
The horror and tragedy of Mary Shelley’s gothic novel Frankenstein has made it one of the classics, read again and again. It shares the story of Victor Frankenstein who, seeking the end to human suffering and death, inadvertently causes his own demise when he creates the lonely being known to the readers only as “the creature”. Throughout the book, Victor struggles not only with the creature, but with himself as he fails to take parental responsibility for his own creation and it ultimately destroys him. Mary Shelley’s theme that is portrayed throughout the novel is that if no one takes responsibility for their actions, then there is no way for them to fix their mistakes and there are consequences.
One of its biggest strengths is it is one of the top coffee companies in the world. Dunkin Donuts has built a strong brand for itself. The company has over 1000 selections of doughnuts, and its stores are a perfect place for having breakfast and coffee. They have worldwide franchisees, totaling to more than 10,000 locations across 32 countries (Marketing Coach). Dunkin’ Donuts uses the fixed price but yields more which lets it to sell at a lower price because fixed costs are spread over a larger number of components. Dunkin Donuts has standardizations for each location so where ever the customer goes they can expect the same thing. They have control over the supply chain which contributes to lower costs. This is achieved by bulk buying to quantity markdowns, talking suppliers down on price, establishing competitive bidding for agreements, and working with sellers to keep inventories low. Dunkin Donuts has a strong customer loyalty rate, which it cost less to keep customers than to gain new ones. Dunkin has good partnerships with JetBlue, Smuckers, and Keurig. Dunkin does a lot of charity work like feeding the hungry, supporting children’s health, and making sure that neighborhoods are safe and secure ("Brand Power"). Dunkin Donuts has recently launched a green campaign that will building green certified program designed to help franchisees build sustainable, energy-efficient
The doughnut industry consists of few major competitors which are Dunkin' Donuts ($2.7 billion ), Tim Hortons ($651 million ), Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. (KKD) ($665 million ), Winchell's Donut House and a large number of smaller, independent doughnut shops, including neighborhood bakeries/doughnut shops and bakery departments in supermarkets. For my analysis, I chose to write about Starbucks Coffee Company and its mission statement. Starbucks’ mission statement reads, “To inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time.” We all know that Starbucks has enjoyed a huge amount of growth over the past 10+ years, and it is clear that they are seeing that success because they are putting their mission into action. Reading the mission statement, it’s easy to identify Starbucks’ areas of focus: the human spirit, coffee, and community. The company’s “About Us” web pages align with its mission statement.
Social media is so popular that according to a recent article published by forbes.com, “72% of American adults are currently using social media sites; that figure has gone up 800% in just 8 years”(Olenski). Social networking was originally created to simply reconnect people with old high school pals, but in recent years it has evolved into a completely different operation. When social media first originated it was also intended for adult usage, which has in recent years expanded into the usage of all ages. Social media can create a negative affect on lives because it has been proven to be a dangerous addiction, for it takes away interpersonal relationships that are essential in life, and it has been proven to prevent people from being productive in life.
“I didn't know what Facebook was, and now that I do know what it is, I have to say, it sounds like a huge waste of time –Betty White (“Betty White Quotes,” 2014, para. 1).” This quote can be interpreted to fit with several of the social media avenues that many people spend their time on. Day in and day out people post, tweet, share, and pin countless times throughout the world. These different forms of communication were first created for an easier way for people to connect with others. Yet now, so much time is spent on these social sites that it has warped the interactive part and is causing more damage than good. Many are growing a desire and are living for the amount of “likes” they can receive on a post or how many re-tweets they can generate. Instead of going to these outlets to participate in a partial portion of their social lives, people are filling that time with the technological aspect of communication. As White said, this can become an inordinate amount of wasted time and can ultimately grow into further damaging circumstances. These different social media channels can cause emotional harm through disparaging the relationship between friends, conjuring of a narcissistic personality, and the retrogradation of ones self-esteem.
Some people think that Social media has a negative impact on society. For me It’s a way to connect with people and also know about their surroundings. It helps me connect with my friends back in my country Pakistan, and also helps me to share some thoughts about my life. We motivate each other through Whatsapp. I see what they are doing and they see what I am doing. Sometimes they share posts about people personality like how the people think today, and what they want to do in their regular life. Most of the Teenager do Snapchat to just tell others what they are doing now. Some people share funny videos and when I watch them I feel joy. Social media is a very powerful source to connect with people and get to know each other. It helps me know about my surroundings and also helps to know myself with a new perspective.
