The Pergola Deck Plan Plan
You might build this deck pergola to cover the entire deck or only a portion of it. In contrast to other pergolas, this one has a checkered wooden frame instead of boards. Moreover, some of the squares have lattice woodwork. Depending on the amount of sunlight you want, you can add a lattice to every square or only in the corners.

These plans work for building both an arbor and a pergola. There is a minor difference between the two - an arbor is usually connected to the house, while a pergola is freestanding structure, but the techniques are the same. For extra shade, you can add vines or a latch (1 x 2s, 2s x 2s).

The agency I chose to do is the Hillandale golf course, which is located in Durham North Carolina. The reason why I chose to do my project on Hillandale golf course because since the beginning of the semester I have been traveling over to the golf course twice a week for a class learning the rules and the way the game of golf is played. Hillandale golf course is named the “Granddaddy golf course of Durham/ Research Triangle golf”. Hillandale was donated to the Durham area back in 1911 through the philanthropic interests of long-time Durham resident John Sprunt Hill. Donald Ross and Perry Maxwell originally designed the course. Donald Ross had designed the first 9 holes and Perry Maxwell came up with the last 9 holes. Since 1960 over 1.7 million rounds of golf have been played that being an average of 45,000 yearly. This public golf course provides a challenge from each level of players in the game of golf. In 1960, the Hillandale Golf Course was moved to its current location in Durham and was redesigned by George Cobb, who is also the designer of the Surf Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The Steinhardt Conservatory is a $25 million complex holding BBG's extensive indoor collection in realistic environments that simulate a range of global habitats. The Tropical Pavilion, 65 feet high, re-creates a rain forest complete with a waterfall and streams. Flora from the Amazon Basin, African Rain Forest, and tropical eastern Asia thrive here. The Helen Mattin Warm Temperate Pavilion houses plants from central China, the Mediterranean, Australasia, southern Africa, and the western U.
This park is famous among National Park Service enthusiasts and photographers but is under-appreciated by just about everyone else. Not only is this the most diverse National Park, but it is simply one of the best. No other place has such disparate landscapes packed into such a small area.

Placement of trees should be done considering the openings that admit the most sunshine at the peak time during the hottest time period. As East and West facades receive the most sunlight, trees should be placed in line projecting from the center of the windows on these facades.

During the day the Barcelona Pavilion is completely naturally lit. It captures the light with its’ clear walls surrounding the façade. The overhang from the long roof blocks direct sunlight to soften its intensity. He “was replacing the visual dependence of architecture on effects of light and shadow by playing with reflections” (Kostof p.703). The reflective pools are also a way to play with light.
...ounter-sinking slightly so that the dog will not injure his paw. Mix the qt of paint with ½ cup of sand. Paint the surface area of the plywood. Let dry well. A second coat may be added if desired. Dry for several days before using. Assemble concrete blocks in three rows of four blocks, so as to form a 4' x 4' square which is 8” high. Place plywood on top. Depending on your dog's jump height, you may need to alter the configuration to be lower or higher. If lower, use patio pavers to form the base in lieu of larger blocks. If higher, stack pavers or additional blocks on top of the first layer of concrete. Make sure the second layer is cross wise to the first layer so that the dog's weight is evenly distributed. .
The Victorian plan exhibits a cheaper residence with an ornate French roof. A French roof, also known as a Mansard roof, is characterized by two slopes on each of the four sides of the roof. The lower slope is so steep it can appear almost vertical while the upper slope is often almost horizontal and not easily viewable from the ground. A French roof provides more headroom on the upper level of the home than a traditional gable style roof. The roof itself is the most unique feature on the exterior of the home. The highest quality of slate provides a nice clean shinny finish. While the use of balustrade and cornice garishly furnish the roof. The balustrade gives the impression of a porch or terrace built upon the roof of the home. The cornice located at the bottom of the shingling provides a decorative ledge contrasting the slate roof from the homes siding. The roof also exhibits an archway above the middle second floor window, allowing for a decorative urn placed above the windo...
The pavilion built in the board walk is very popular especially for events listed lastly as Wolf stated. With the pavilion being built and being very noticeable, I think that it was to bring more attention to the board walk. The pavilion is rain proof but allows the sun to shine in, as in the book, Understanding Architecture states “The exterior is designed to keep out the heat, cold, wind and rain” (154, Conway). The exterior of the pavilion works onto establishing this area of safeness, but enables the light to shine through. The boardwalk also has the path that runs all across the pond extending, more in other places than others, as Wolf stated to help view the nature from closer areas to get a different feel.
The next step is to have the land surveyed. When the land is surveyed you will find out where the property lines are located and also get the footer laid out and ready to dig. After the footing is prepared and poured full of concrete, the next step is to lay the foundation. Materials used are usually brick or block. The foundation has to meet certain codes which are set by the county. The inspector will have to inspect the foundation before the building process can proceed. After the foundation has passed inspection, the next step for the house is to frame.
For the purpose of this free shed plan tutorial I am going to use several planks of wood in thin strips for the shed door. You should get at least 5 of these to build a shed door with. You can have as many as 15 pieces of timer for the door depending on the size of the shed you are building and obviously the size of the planks of lumber. Arrange these boards to fit the door next to each other as you would like them to be arranged for the shed. If you are not using a type of pressure treated lumber for building with, then make sure that you apply a coat or two of primer to the wood and allow it to dry before continuing.
Must be a drill, a screwdriver (or a drill driver), a meter, four pegs, screws and appropriate fasteners provided with the barrier. Step 3 - I take the measurements I start by measuring the length necessary barrier between the wall and the post. Can I carry this measure on the fence before screwing amounts to length - easy, there are pre-holes that allow for different lengths. Then I take care of my height barrier to postpone the dimensions on the wall and mark the places where I'll break through.
