Spend the night on the North Pole. I have always dreamt of breathing the fresh air and looking up towards the stars, there isn’t any other way to show greater appreciation for the earth than through fully embracing it over a night. Travel the trans-Siberian railway. Ever since I saw a Vice documentary about the trans-Siberian railway I have dreamt of experiencing the vast differences in climate passing through the window when traveling the seven-day journey from St.Petersburg to Beijing. When traveling by airplane I never experience the full scenery that we’re passing by as we only see small glimpses of the incredible world through the clouds. Learn to speak Mandarin. During my visit to Shanghai, I felt a sense of paralyzation as a result …show more content…
Ever since the first time I saw the Discovery Channel documentary “Deadliest Catch” the great risks that the crab fishermen take when they go out in the middle of the ocean and fish for crabs. For a long time, I have been dreaming of going crab fishing on a boat for 24 hours and work as a fisherman. The endorphin rushes that the fishermen seem to get is unlike anything I've ever witnessed myself. Rent an entire ski resort for me. Everyone who has ever gone skiing knows the crisp feeling of the skies hit newly groomed snow however, we all know that the experience is temporary and you have to be one of the first people in the slopes to experience the lovely feeling. I want to rent an entire ski resort for myself so every ski ride I take during the day gives that amazing feeling you get when you ski on newly groomed snow. Donate 100 000 SEK to a socioeconomically vulnerable family. I have watched countless documentaries where rich people, as well as families, give money to lesser fortunate families, the money they receive can turn their world upside down and often paves the way from lower class to middle class. If 100 000 SEK can lift a family from poor to middle class they could potentially do the same thing to another family, this could potentially start a domino …show more content…
In my family my sister, as well as my brother has sailed across the Atlantic Ocean, no one in my family believes that I will do it. I wish to sail across the Atlantic without telling any family members and when I have successfully crossed the ocean I want to call to show them that I am just as big of a risk taker as them. Build my own house. I have always been fascinated that people with no higher education in construction successfully build their own houses. I wish to one day build my a house if I manage to build a house with no guidance whatsoever I would feel a great sense of accomplishment that can’t be compared to anything else. Move to Malaysia. When I went on vacation to Malaysia during the Christmas the kindness and openness the people in Malaysia are to each other as well as foreigners surprised me greatly. I believe I would be a lot happier if moved to a place where people seem to genuinely care about each other and not only about oneself. Visit the grand canyon. There are few things that are as spectacular as the Grand Canyon, I wish to arrive just a couple of minutes before sunrise and witness the natural spectacular
This marked the beginning of the Palestine armed conflict, one of its kinds to be witnessed in centuries since the fall of the Ottoman Empire and World War 1. Characterized by a chronology of endless confrontations, this conflict has since affected not only the Middle East relations, but also the gl...
... I, too, have traveled outside of the United States and have discovered the advantages of being open to cultural differences. My experiences have allowed me to accept people on their own terms more easily than I would have were I not able to break out of my culture, even though only for a short period of time.
The National parks you should visit are Bear Mountain State park, because it has the most beautiful views and you can stay at Stone Lodges if you are wanting to stay overnight. The park has rugged mountains, a large play field, shaded picnic groves, lake and river fishing access, and a swimming pool. Another is Letchworth State Park, another name for it is Grand Canyon of the East. The reason you should go there is, there is 66 miles of hiking trails, they can also be used for horseback riding, biking, snowmobiling, and cross country skiing. Another reason
As I opened my eyes, I saw a giant cruise ship in front of my eyes.It took two whole days but we finally reached Florida where we went Rock Gliding. It’s where you have to get past a giant, rocky maze. The winner gets to cans of ice cream.Though my sister won,we all shared the ice cream.Next stop, the Bahamas!!!In the bahamas we went parasailing up 700 ft above water level,it was so much fun.The boat driver even let us touch the smooth, light blue water with our feet. Finally, we ended with a relaxing dolphin swim on the soft, delicate beach of Jamaica.
...Mexico. On the weekends, I go to Nuevo Laredo or to Monterrey to visit them. We plan something like, parties or we get together, and we cutch up about our lives. In Laredo Texas, the people is so different, they are more open mind, I have another type of ideas or another education, but I respect others thinking’s.
If you are in around Los Angeles I would recommend SeaWorld in San Diego. SeaWorld San Diego is coined in March 21, 1964 for a 52 years ago. You can go and visit for all season because it's located in California there is never going to be freezing. I would like to say if you are looking have fun with your family or friends, visit to San Diego is a very good idea, there is so many interesting things. I have visited only SeaWorld, USS Midway Museum and also some beach, but I will visit San Diego Zoo. My personal advice is if you are in SeaWorld just buy water protector jacket its not too expensive or you can bring some clothes, I thought I don’t need this, that’s why I am here its SeaWorld something like that. That was very bad idea because the
...costing, hot weather, regular, lay on the beach vacation, I suggest taking a trip to Key West, Florida, but for those outdoor types, like myself, who want to experience one of the most breathtaking places in the world and literally sit above the clouds, a vacation getaway to Denali National Park in Alaska is your cup of tea. The colder weather in Alaska was not as bad as I had thought it to be. Common snow clothes were suitable outdoors clothing for the time of the year I went and regular camping supplies worked out for me during my stay. Denali National Park is hands down the most beautiful place in America and is worth every penny it costs you to travel there and experience nature in its purity. It was a life altering experience climbing mountains high above the clouds and seeing how truly magnificent and compelling the earth must have looked thousands of years ago.
I enjoy living in a co-culture that values justice, equality and intellectual curiosity. The best thing about it is that it is future-oriented and inclusive.

The mountains were tall (11,000 feet +) and covered with bright powdery snow. It was like nothing I had ever seen before. I was eager to set-up camp and prepare for our nine day hunt. But, Dad said that we had to drive around and check out all the good places, just to make sure that we were in the best area. This was partially understandable, but since I am a teenager I'm not supposed to understand anything! So, we spent another several hours driving. We went up and down through the mountains and then we saw it. The spot was beautiful; it was right on the edge of a vertical drop-off, over looking everything. It was like paradise, but colder!
A couple of years ago during one of those, on a whim after spending a few days in Arches National Park, my wife and I detoured to the snowy, icy south rim of the Grand Canyon. We journeyed toward it from the east side but got turned back at the National Parks’ gate; the road was snowed under from there on up. After retracing our steps, we traveled down to Flagstaff and spent the night, driving in my four by four truck up to the South Rim the next day. It was an eerie experience to stand on the edge of the South Rim and see only cloud; fog shrouded the canyon’s great gap, leaving us with visual doubts that anything was really there. Defeated, we hit the Visitor’s Center and gathered information so we could go back sometime in the spring or fall with weather more to our liking.
Bob Hawke once said; “Unless and until something concrete is done about addressing the Israeli-Palestinian issue you won't get a real start on the war against terrorism.” Perhaps Hawke put into a few simple words one of the most complicated issues within our world today, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. As Israel continues to strip the Palestinians of their land and fears it’s very existence because of the Palestinians terrorist acts, there seems to be no solution in sight. The world appears to be split and all over the place when it comes to this matter. According to The Middle East Institute for Understanding approximately 129 countries recognize Palestine as a state while many others do not. Over all the political matters within this issue not only affect Palestine and Israel but the world as a whole, as the Middle East and the West seem to disagree. This has had and will continue to have an enormous impact on many political affairs all over the world particularly in the current fight against terrorism. Personally I feel that the Israeli Palestinian conflict while being a very complicated matter has a simple solution. Within this issue I am a firm believer that the occupation of the West Bank by Israeli forces is extremely unjust and must come to an end. Once this is achieved a two state solution will be the most effective way to bring peace to the area. The occupation of the West Bank violates political and legal rights, human rights, and illegally forces Palestinians who have lived in the area for hundreds of years from their land. This conflict is at the height of its importance and a solution is of dire need as nuclear issues arise in the Middle East due to the tension between Israel and it’s surrounding neighbors, and the...
“There is no such thing as a Palestinian.” Stated former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir after three fourths of one million Palestinians had been made refugees, over five hundred towns and cities had been obliterated, and a new regional map was drawn. Every vestige of the Palestinian culture was to be erased. Resolution 181, adopted in 1947 by the United Nations declared the end of British rule over Palestine (the region between the eastern edge of the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River) and it divided the area into two parts; a state for the Jewish and one for the Arab people, Palestine. While Israel was given statehood, Palestine was not. Since 1947, one of the most controversial issues in the Middle East, and of course the world, is the question of a Palestinian state. Because of what seems a simple question, there have been regional wars among Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq, terrorist attacks that happen, sometimes daily, displacement of families from their homes, and growing numbers of people living in poverty. Granting Palestinian statehood would significantly reduce, or alleviate, tensions in the Middle East by defining, once and for all, the area that should be Palestine and eliminating the bloodshed and battles that has been going on for many years over this land.
For many centuries, Judaic and Arabian societies have engaged in one of the most complicated and lengthy conflicts known to mankind, the makings of a highly difficult peace process. Unfortunately for all the world’s peacemakers the Arab-Israeli conflict, particularly the war between Israel and the Palestinian Territories, is rooted in far more then ethnic tensions. Instead of drawing attention towards high-ranking officials of the Israeli government and Hamas, focus needs to be diverted towards the more suspect and subtle international relations theory of realism which, has imposed more problems than solutions.
One of the most enjoyable things in life are road trips, particularly to the Colorado mountains. Getting to spend time with your family and friends, while being in a beautiful place, is irreplaceable. The fifteen-hour road trip may feel never-ending, but gazing at the mountains from afar makes life’s problems seem a little smaller and causes worries to become a thing of the past. Coming in contact with nature, untouched, is a surreal experience. My family trip to the Colorado mountains last summer was inspiring.
