In the article of “Not so Fast” by John Freeman he writes the the internet interferes with nature, our body, and our minds. We forget to notice the outside world, everything tends to be faster over time. Leisure time has put our brains in strain, emails are taking over our lives, and we have to control it. This lifestyle of electronics causes burnouts. The Internet has social benefits and we must implement them more in our lives. Word and communication changes the speed on which we experience things. For us as people, we need more time to make decisions. Speed is used to define the work rate. The speed of information is faster then our brains can register. With electronics, we start to drift away from the physical world. For example; we cant even grasp the internet in our hands because it is not physical. When on the internet, we go through complications when we start to search for certain things. Overall, in conclusion, we gotta slow down and get back with nature.
In Jenna Wortham writing “ I Had a Nice Time with you Tonight” she writes that all her conversations have mature over the use of her phone. They do help us become closer to someone even when we were at a distance. I disagree with Freemans point when he states that reality is diminishing from us. I feel that in today world, with technology we became more appreciative with nature and we try to help nature more and more each day because we realize how important and beautiful it is to us. Freeman’s article take on technology had more of a general base to it and how it affects us in general unlike Wortham take on it, which focused more on our smartphones and interactions with someone rather than a whole world base
