Since the dawn mankind, man has always tried to dominate over the female figure. This is not just because he is strong but just the projection of his insecurity. Even today, in our so called ‘pseudo liberal society’, man makes impotent attempts to silence and diminish the power given to women by God. One emblem of power is Malala Yousafzai who was tried to silence by the roars of the guns.
Malala, an ordinary girl from a rural society, just like any other girl from a conservative background had lived her life in the peaceful valley of Swat until January 12, 2012 when the roars of the guns pushed Swat into the abyss of darkness and wretchedness. But as always, there are people, burdening mother earth with their figures, who not only debate against gender equality but also question the plausibility of Malala Yousefzai. There is one question that spawns amidst this scenario: Who is Malala?

According to a senior analyst of The Telegraph, Malala is basically the face of the Western Propaganda and has been in no way helpful to the concept of education or the people of Swat whom she claims to fight for. To some of them, she is the symbol of feminism; to the ignorants, she is Jane- the daughter of two christian missionaries who were in desperate need of money.
