Humor can form an idea of the comedy that expresses a humorous way to entertain the audience. Some other forms of humor show the different perspectives on how they manipulate the ideas on something funny toward the audience. In addition, humor always has different flavors on how they appeal from one to another so that people can find it enjoyable. Humor can use as tools to communicate with people in a good way. Sometimes, forms of humor, especially like satire, can express some misunderstood term that finds it really insulting. Humor always express something less serious for everyone. Humor expresses some opinions about political acts so people can view them more critically.
The satirical humor expresses their social criticism on wider issues
Improvisational humor is using the range of performance styles such as ritual, celebrations, theater, and television by comedians. From important occasions, “Stephen Colbert, a famous comedian, used his improvisational humor for his opening monologue in order to support the military troops for the Iraq War in 2009 (Almond 248).” His Improvisational humor was showing some ways to be supportive of people who faced the difficult circumstances such as war, terrorist attacks and to created some changes in life. He finds some humorous ways in unexpected ways without filling any plans to the audience. This improvisational humor can make some senses to their people and audience to lessen their beliefs on seriousness from what the politicians have done. It encouraged on greater participation and communication from people in the community. It also can interact with the public and draw the issue on real politics should have usurped traditional authority or not. Although we discussed dramas and improvisational humor, stand-up humor is another type of humor that changes
The comedy shows The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that uses stand-up humor that sometimes expresses the good and bad upon politics. His humor and enthusiastic attitude affect people’s attention in humorous ways to focus on politics. “During the American election, Jay Leno arrives with Jimmy Fallon and begins explaining about monologue jokes about political candidates (Hughes).” His show expresses stand-up humor uses entertaining techniques such as telling jokes, impersonating political figures and maintains their enthusiasm to their audience about politics. It creates a main attraction to the audience, to build up self-confidence, and charisma toward people. “Jimmy Fallon expresses his monologue jokes about Donald Trump especially his voice and politics toward the audience. He uses his jokes by impersonating Donald Trump and his sweeping generalizations with Madea (Rogo).” Jimmy Fallon shows the mass entertainment for consumption to people so they can develop more on to be educated, inspired, and create a sense of community to express their agreeable and disagreeable views. Jimmy referred his views in stand-up humor rather than a political humor. As we discussed some ideas about humor that affects political changes, it was important for everyone reveals their feelings about changes in life and drove them to look upon their society or government more
