Far too often, we are influenced mentally and socially by Media. The new millennium has accepted all sources of media has almost more prudent source of information. As defined by The Merriam Webster Dictionary , Media is “a medium of cultivation, conveyance, or expression (Smiler).” For the purposes of this essay, I will condense the broad spectrum of media and focus specifically on these forms : print media, television , movies, and the internet. It even went as far as labeling the different types of women in the work office as "the aging executive" "the prudish H.R. dame," "the puppyish intern," "the girl next cubicle" and "the siren secretary." Now as disrespectful and insulting these terminology can be to women in the workplace, her connection to this being why women don't suceeed i dont agree with. I would agree our media does have some input . Honestly, it provides a reflection depending on the author’s voice but I don't solely blame this is the reason why things happen the way that the do. The negative impacts of media are deeper than that. The platform sometimes make consumers overly paranoid to certain behaviors and makes the world seem of a peril of inappropriateness. Furthermore, it has now created another focus playground . Instead of doing something productive we know choose to read , watch or listen to others method productivity. It has become a tool to provide a positive voice, influence, and opportunity to reach people you may have never been able to reach before. I don't argue that all media usage is negative , I theorize the way our community has chosen to use it hasn’t been solely positive. In closing, our media has negatively reshaped our culture inadvertently. It has changed our focus away from the real responsibilities of life, provided another world for people to hide behind and also made many people overly paranoid to the negative things. In stand for development, I would suggest people to use Media has an additional voice, not another identity. Also, for its producers to really understand its influence and realize the positive influence they can create on our society by simply using it in the right way. In direction to its consumers, I would suggest to not only consume media ; To open the eyes and focus back to the things that are unrelated to keyboards, tv and everything
