Every other country in the world besides America has universal healthcare coverage. Americans deserve to have a long, healthy life and can do that with universal health care. America should have universal healthcare because it lowers healthcare costs, increases longevity, and guides people to make healthier choices. To begin with, universal healthcare lowers healthcare costs. Some experts argue that “Certain costs can be lowered because of universal access to preventive care, which can head off problems before they become serious and much more expensive to treat” (Amadeo). Basically, with the choice of this, Americans wouldn't have to spend a whole lot of money like they do in today's world. If Universal Health Care were offered in America, many people would have the chance to visit their doctor more often and get diagnosed with sicknesses they might not have known they had. Depending on the issue, some can’t even afford regular doctor visits because of how pricey they can get sometimes. Another reason America should have universal healthcare is that it increases longevity. With the confidence of knowing you have health-wise protection throughout your life, this may turn you on a healthier path. With Universal Health care in our community, the people wouldn’t give up their lives as easily. Knowing they can afford the hospital and live their life while being healthy and having good, trusting, people around them will most likely boost their confidence and help create a healthy lifestyle for them and their peers around
