Introduction
As the Amazon is important to animal wildlife and to us, it is in the mitts of being destroyed. To reduce deforestation in the Amazon rain forest individual people need be aware of the effects of deforestation caused from the demand for products produced from the Amazon region. Or, start an organised tree farming system and farm trees every 15 - 30 years, this would be a great way to stop deforestation because the companies that need to use products from the trees will not have to cut down an important asset to our world. Companies must change where they buy their products from to reduce the demand of Brazil to increase farming in the Amazon. Deforestation is one of the primary greenhouse gases and not only contributes to the greenhouse affect but also towards global warming. Statistics prove that 20% of the current global warming is a result to Deforestation. From Deforestation the ground becomes impenetrable due to the lack of roots to receive water to keep the soil moist, this makes the forest more dry and less shelter for the wildlife of the Amazon forest. The most common way that the Amazon forest is being deforested is by burning the forest. This is a faster and more effective way for the Brazilian government to have more land compared to cutting down trees and logging them out of the Amazon forest. But burning the Amazon rain forest has a massive effect on the wildlife not only because they would burn to death, but because the burning of the Amazon forest acts like a chain reaction. When the animals burn this has an effect on the animals that either eat from the tree that has been burned or the type of animal living in the area. Since the Amazon forest is being deforested at a rate of 200,000 square miles per year eventually animals will run out of there basic needs because the animals or plants they eat of will be gone. If deforestation is stopped, then we will have a lack of important resources such as Ipe and Mahogany. If the Brazilian government gets rid of the Amazon they will have 5,500,000 km² of more land to use for whatever they needed such as more farms roads or houses. So on one hand, deforestation is a great income for the Brazilian economy from cattle which provide the world with beef and tanned leather.
