In the field of Psychology you can find an abundance of mental disorders that can have an affect on people all throughout the world. Out of all the mental disorders that can be found around the world, some of them are more well-known and more widespread than others. The following disorders could be described as being well-known and widespread disorders: depression, bi-polar disorder, Alzheimer's, and OCD, which could also be called Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. All of these mental disorders can be very dangerous and possibly deadly if people don't receive the proper care in order to be able to contain these disorders. Out of these very dangerous and possibly deadly disorders, I believe that Alzheimer's is the most interesting disorder. I think that Alzheimer's is the most interesting disorder, because I think we have the least about of knowledge of the Alzheimer's disorder. As a society we still to this day don't have a cure that totally stops this disorder. Alzheimer's disorder is a mental disorder that affects your brain, and in particular the disorder affects the memory part of your brain. The disorder slows down the memory section of your brain, and as a result the number one symptom of Alzheimer's is memory loss. The disorder usually doesn't affect younger people, but instead affects people that are older than the age of sixty. The disorder can get so serious that the patient could loss there of about everything that has ever happened in their life. Patients usually loss their memory of their childhood during the most severe, intense, and last stage of the disorder. Alzheimer's disorder can also have a drastic effect on the patient's family, because during the disorder the patient can forget about their entire family. Alz... ... middle of paper ... ...ferent medications that don't have the same type or amount of symptoms are the following: Donepezil, and Galantamine. Donepezil has a lot of symptoms that you can develop by taking it, and here are a few of those symptoms: nausea, loss of appetite, weight loss, frequent urination, muscle cramps, excessive tiredness, and chest pain. Galantamine has a lot of the same symptoms as Donepezil, but here are some different symptoms that it has: blurred vision, wrinkled skin, sunken eyes, redness of upper chest, and decreased urination. As a result of the medications having different symptoms people that take both of the medications, could get one symptom from one of them and another from the other. These symptoms that come along with the medications, is just one more struggle that Alzheimer's patients have to go through during the disorder.
