Algebra In School? Algebra is the part of mathematics in which letters and other symbols are used to represent numbers and quantities in equations and formulas. Many kids don’t like having algebra classes. In the United States, many of kids are failing algebra. The first thing that people need to realize in algebra is that the subject is a difficult class to teach to kids. Algebra is a hands-on class like every other math classes are. Six million school kids in high school are struggling with algebra on a typical day. Two million freshmen in colleges are struggling with algebra. All these kids are out of the United States. People can get help on algebra. I understand that people have lives, but they can get tutoring in algebra. They can even ask questions in class.
We need algebra, because most kids don’t know what they are going to be when they get older. Most kids don’t think that they are going to have a big math job later in their lives. In reality, they are going to grow up to be scientist or other things that involve algebra.
Kids say they will never use algebra in a day in their real world live. In reality, people use algebra every day and they don’t even notice. When looking at milk jugs or anything else, some people would like to know the volume of it. Every one travels. They would want to know the distance that they are driving. In the distance people want to know how long it is going to take to get to one destination to another. We use algebra in decision making. We use it when we buy insurance.
