SHORT TERM GOALS
Will be directed towards reducing anxiety of people affected and maintain credibility of the company.

Here are the three main conceptual frameworks underpinning the on-boarding plan:
1. High performing teams and organizations are built of people, plans, and practices aligned around a shared purpose.
2. Tactical Capacity bridges the gap between strategy and execution, ensuring that a good strategy doesn't fail because of bad execution.
3. Five building blocks underpin a team's Tactical Capacity: burning imperative, key milestones, early wins, getting the right people in the right roles, and shaping the culture with an ongoing communication plan.
I need to start BEFORE Day One especially with the boss and Key Stakeholders.
1. Meetings face to face with the other employees
The mission command philosophy helps commanders counter the uncertainty of operations by reducing the amount of certainty needed to act. Commanders can build teams and achieve their final goals through adapting the six principles of mission command to warfighting situation. I analyzed and compared the performance of General Sherman and General Hampton in four of six mission command principles.
Effective planning is impossible without first understanding the problem. Commanders rely on personal observations, experiences, and input from others to develop understanding. They also prioritize information requests and incorporate additional information as those requests are answered. A complete understanding of the problem and environment builds the foundation for the operational process and ...

In today’s operational environments, the U.S. Army is facing a range of problems and mission sets that are arguably more complex than previously encountered. Forces face an array of demands that encompass geo-political, social, cultural, and military factors that interact in unpredictable ways. The inherent complexity of today’s operations has underscored the need for the Army to expand beyond its traditional approach to operational planning. In March 2010 in FM 5-0: The Operations
Leaders today need to have an appreciation for the operation process, understand a situation, envision a desired future, and to lay out an approach that will achieve that future (Flynn & Schrankel, 2013). Plans need to be created that can be modified to changes in any factors considered. However, plans should not be dependent on specific information being precise or that require things to go exactly according to schedule. Instead, the staff NCO should be flexible where they can and always be prepared for the unexpected. Today’s military members are fighting an unconventional war in Iraq and Afghanistan. The enemy constantly changes their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP’s) to counter the United States technological advances, making planning very difficult for leaders. There are multiple tools at a staff NCO’s disposal to try to anticipate an outcome of a current operation, but also assist with the development of concepts in follow-on missions. The Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) is just one tool a staff NCO can utilize. In order to stay ahead of the enemy, create effective plans and orders, it is critical for a staff NCO to assist the commander, and understand that the MDMP and planning are essential in defeating the enemy and conserving the fighting force.
The most effective commanders through their leadership build cohesive teams. Mutual trust, shared understanding, and accepting prudent risk serve as just a few principles for mission command. Mutual trust is the foundation of any successful professional relationship that a commander shares with his staff and subordinates. The shared understanding of an operational environment functions, as the basis for the commander to effectively accomplish the mission. While my advice for the commander on what prudent risks to take may create more opportunities rather than accepting defeat. Incorporating the principles of mission command by building cohesive teams through mutual trust, fostering an environment of shared understanding, and accepting prudent risk will make me an effective adviser to the commander, aid the staff during the operations process, and provide an example for Soldiers to emulate.
Before a group can achieve the synergistic performance Jimenez is looking for it must meet three preconditions. First, team members have to approach the task at hand with the motivation to work cross-functionally and the confidence that they can produce effective solutions. In Wichita, much of the motivation came from the evident crisis in performance. Everyone in the plant knew that it was underperforming and there is no stronger motivation for action than a survival crisis.
The airline industry has an incredibly intricate market ruled by consumer need and firm greed. The airline industry utilizes an oligopoly style market structure and airlines often use certain price discriminations to obtain the most revenue from their services. Externalities also weigh into the airline industry. Competition amongst airlines is incredibly fierce and only those who are thirsty for business and cold hard cash will survive within the terminal walls and jetway halls.
Kingfisher Airlines (KFA) was founded by Vijay Malaya and he is the chairman of United Breweries group (UB group) in the year 2003. Its first airplane was launched from Mumbai to Delhi in 9th may 2005. It started as a premium business class airline company. The airlines have a tag line “Fly the good times”. At the launch of airline, Vijay Malaya said “we are committed to achieving our ambition of making Kingfisher Airlines, India’s largest private airline both in capacity and market share. The airline ushered in a new era of luxury in India’s domestic aviation sector and its brand new aircraft with stylish red interiors, and smartly dressed crew and ground staff. Kingfisher was the first Indian airline to have in-flight entertainment (IFE) systems”. (Malaya, 2005). Kingfisher airlines are one of the seven airlines which were awarded the rating of five stars by skytrax. It operates 400 flights daily including the regional and international services. In 2009 it gave the highest market share in Indian airlines industries, carrying more than 1 million passengers. The main mistake was lack of understanding of customer requirements and luxurious facilities in airlines. Organizations focus on reducing costs and usually just CEO’S and top level managers prefer business class travel. Rest of the staff mostly travels by economy class. Moreover, buying most expensive business class tickets doesn’t go down well, when seniors aim to project the image of walking the talk. Secondly, the company is facing financial crisis since Mid-2008. After merging with Air Deccan in 2007, it is a low-cost airlines, provides minimum frills to customers at reasonable rates. Th...

The components of a good team should be considered. First, a high-performance team must have strong core values to guide attitudes and behavior consistent with the team's purpose. The members should know why the team is created and why he or she is on the team. Secondly, a team should have specific performance objectives. Members should know exactly what they are trying to accomplish. This also includes having standards for measuring results and ways of obtaining performance feedback. A good team will make members realize the importance of collective efforts. Third, a high-performance team has the right mix of skills. These involve technical, interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. No one needs to know how to do it all, but each member should be able to contribute to the group....
Teams are a major source of companies in these coming years. Teams are Heroes (Collins, 2009-08-27). Everyone wants to be a hero, therefore we need to build, follow, and be effective team members and effective team leaders.

It is important that members of a group be knowledgeable and skillful in their positions, the degree to which those members can work harmoniously and cooperatively together is equally important and will form into a high performance team. Effective team management plays a high role in building high performance teams. It should always be a question as to what management can do to actively promote successful work teams.
Many businesses place an emphasis on the importance of teamwork. A good team consists of people with different skills, abilities and characters. A successful team is able to blend these differences together to enable the organisation to achieve its desired objectives.
