1.Introduction

Air pollution is phenomenon which air is contaminated by some substances ( Besiness dictionary, ? ) including particulates and biological molecules. It may cause not only many diseases, allergies or even death but also can affect badly on other living organisms like animals, food crops, and may damage the environment ( Wikipedia, ? ).
In Viet Nam, air pollution is one of the hottest issues. Particulary Hanoi is heavily damaged because this city have very much vehicles, always have traffic jams along with the development of industry. For example, the rate of growing speed motor vehicles in Hanoi is very fast, about from 12 percent to 15 percent annually ( Journal of Environment Protection, 2013). In addition, In the period 1986-1990 the growth rate of Hanoi is 7.1 percent, and then to the 1991-1995 period reached 12.5 percent and 10.6 percent. In the 1996-2000 period, Hanoi is one of the local fast high growth with GDP

2.1 The current situation of air pollution in Hanoi
2.1.a The concentration of dust in the air exceeds the permissible level

Nowadays, scientists warm thatvair pollution caused by dust in Hanoi is more anh more dangerous. The result of measuring the concentration of dust in Hanoi shows that in the city centre, this number surpasses 2-3 times the permited standard ( Thuc trang o nhiem khong khi o Ha Noi nhu the ao, nguyen nhan tai sao, va can phai lam gi de han che tinh trang nay, 2009). According to Ha Noi Resource and Environment Department, some areas in Hanoi sach as National Conference Centre, Cuan Thuy street, Khuat Duy Tuen street, have the very high rate of dust pollution. In 2008, this rate increased to 85 percent taht overtook the permitted level and was tiwce more in 2007.
