Pollution is one of the phenomena’s that occurs due to the reckless human activities. Like industrial waste, car smoke, factories, and greenhouse gases. Those human actions cause a lot of harm on living species our air and even our food. This essay is going to discuss the cause and effects of pollution with all kinds of pollution. The most common type is air pollution , and it is the most dangerous one . For the people who live in big cities they are very familiar with air pollution . but there are different kind of air pollution ,some visible , some not which leads to global warming. Generally any substance that interrupts with the atmosphere and has a damaging effects on the atmosphere is considered air pollution. There is a lot of kinds of greenhouse gases .The most common or popular type is carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is the main pollutant that is warming earth . carbon dioxides is widespread , and it is associated with cars , planes , factories , and other human activities that involves fossil fuel and burning gasoline , such activities caused the level or ratio of carbon dioxides to raise in the atmosphere .So most of the living creature and species breathe carbon dioxide while it is in the air .Finally , CFCs which is used in radiators and cooling systems , and aerosol propellants. But now they are banned after the noticed affect they do on ozone layer . CFCs interacts with ozone and removes it then replaces it with other gases that is not needed in the atmosphere , or in another language it creates new gases that is harmful . (Conserve energy future, 2014) The second type of pollution is water pollution . Since water is essential for our lives it is important to protect it .Water pollution occurs when any materia... ... middle of paper ... ...barren and wont go back dry again whatever we try to do . The number of earth population is increasing everyday , so the demand on food will also increase farmers however sometimes use toxic fertilizers ,and with the overuse of that soil gets poisoned . During mining and extraction activities several land spaces are made in the surface , and there is no natural way to fill those spaces back again in the surface . (Conserve energy future, 2014) It is crucial to control pollution because the nature , wildlife and human life those are precious gifts to the mankind , So we have to protect them and keep them safe no matter what cost is it . Every step we take to keep our earth safe from all kind of pollution is going to help us in being protected from disasters in future ; how ever everything comes with its pros and cons we just have to use the pros and avoid the cons.
Its harming the environment and humans. Pollution is very dangerous, it could cause early death, suffering from lung and heart disease. Pollution is affecting the ozone. Pollution is caused by smoke, ash, and toxic fumes from volcanoes. (“Pollution” 2014) Pollution causes smog(“Pollution” 2014) Finally, 33% of ocean pollution comes from atmospheric toxins.(“We” 1942)
The greenhouse effect is the effect that gases from the earth and our industries cause. The three natural gases from this greenhouse effect are carbon dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O). Three industrial gases are hydro fluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs) and sulphur hexafluoride (SFs). Water Vapor is also one of the greenhouse gases. Some of these gases we, humans, need to survive. Without these gases, heat would escape into space and make the Earth much...
2016). Major human activities that contribute to climate change are greenhouse gases, fossil fuel and self-pollution. Greenhouse gases refers to gases such as carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and ozone, while fossil fuels are classified as non-renewable resources such as coal, oil, and natural gas. This ongoing issue has been increased due to population growth, more people equals a stranger impact on the environment. Developed countries have been the primary contributors to this process, through the increased consumption of fossil fuels associated with industrialization and rising economic productivity.
The main gasses that we recognize as 'greenhouse gasses' are carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide. Carbon dioxide, being the most well known, comes from a variety of places include natural causes and man made causes,
Pollution has been found to be a major conflict in today’s society. It’s no doubt that the air we all breathe is filled with toxics. Allowing the toxic chemicals to penetrate deep into the lungs tend to cause damage. In addition, multiple forms of contamination have been in found in many ecosystems as well. These particles poison soils and streams, killing plants and animals. Some particles come naturally, but many of them are caused by us, humans.
A strong dose-response relationship between particulate air pollution and adverse health effects in urban New Zealand has been reported in literature. The results of the study undertaken by Richardson, Pearce and Kingham (2011) indicate that modest reductions in PM10 are likely to have significant health benefits for the population, mainly reducing the incidence of respiratory disease mortality.
Car pollutants cause immediate and long-term effects on the environment. Car exhausts emit a wide range of gases and solid matter, causing global warming, acid rain, and harming the environment and human health. Engine noise and fuel spills also cause pollution. Cars, trucks and other forms of transportation are the single largest contributor to air pollution in the United States, but car owners can reduce their vehicle's effects on the environment. Car pollution is one of the major causes of global warming. Cars and trucks emit carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, which contribute one-fifth of the United States' total global warming pollution. Greenhouse gases trap heat in the atmosphere, which causes worldwide temperatures to rise.
In 1994, transportation was the major source of carbon monoxide emissions (77%), nitrogen oxide emissions (46%), and lead (32%). [3] A combination of sulfur and nitrogen causes acid rain which, in 1952, caused 12,000 deaths and many ill in London, England.[4] All fossil fuels being burned produce carbon dioxide, a leading cause of the Greenhouse Effect. The Greenhouse Effect is the idea that incoming solar radiation readily penetrates the glass coverings of an ordinary greenhouse, but the outgoing infrared radiation from the interior does not.
First of all, we need to know what and how these green house gases collaborate to cause global warming. Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Nitrous Oxide (N2O), Methane (CH4) and especially water vapor are the main gases that increases the Earth’s temperature. These gases block the heat of the Earth from escaping.
While all forms of these pollutants are very dangerous and increasing rapidly, they can be contained. If every person steps up and does there part and does the little things, these different forms of pollution can be decreased. While doing these things may be time consuming, it creates a higher quality of living when there is less pollution roaming amongst us.
I am doing this paper on air pollution because it 's a serious problem in our lives that we must take action on and start to handle as the serious problem that it is. Air Pollution Is the contamination of the air we breathe everyday. There is two different kinds of air pollution which are the visible pollution and invisible pollution, which both contribute to global warming. The most familiar and visible kind of air pollution is smog, which hangs over cities. The pollution in our air is destroying our planet day by day. Carbon Dioxide which is the smoke that comes from cars, planes, factories, and power plants, is what is polluting our air and causing our planet to warm up. There is other types of greenhouse gasses like methane and sulfur that
Pollutants are the key elements of pollution, which are generally waste materials of dissimilar forms. Pollution disturbs our ecosystem and the balance of the environment. With innovation and development in our lives pollution has reached its peaks giving rise to global warming and human illness. When raw materials, water, energy and other resources are utilized more efficiently, when fewer harmful substances are substituted for hazardous ones, and when lethal substances are eliminated from the production process. Water pollution is also a major problem in the world because almost 60% of it is fish.
Air pollution is a type of pollution that can severely damage our environment as well as the earth’s atmosphere. Air pollution occurs all the time when the air contains many substances ...
Global warming is the gradual rise in temperature and oceans due to recent human activity. This is created by the production of too much carbon dioxide that is released into the earth’s atmosphere. The carbon dioxide, also known as a greenhouse gas, remains in the air trapping heat and gradually warming the planet. Other greenhouse gases such as: methane, nitrous oxide, and water vapor also contribute to this slow warming. According to Live Science, The state of these gases being trapped is called the greenhouse effect, which is one of the leading causes of global warming (Lallanillia). All the gases are created differently and have different effects on the earth. As for some greenhouse gases can be in the atmosphere for a short amount of time, other gases can remain in the atmosphere for thousands of
Pollution is a massive problem that the earth faces. Pollution is the action or process of making land, water, air, etc…, dirty and not safe or suitable to use. Pollution of air, water, and soil are the most complex issues. Various types of gases and toxins that are released by industries
