The Scientific Method is roughly defined as a stratified, step-by-step process in which an individual follows a paradigm of six to eight steps in order to answer a previous hypothesis that individual had about an idea regarding (but not limited to) science. These six to eight steps that one would follow in the Scientific Method may include making an observation, forming a hypothesis about that observation, conducting an experiment to prove or disprove the hypothesis, collecting and recording every bit of data throughout the experiment, analyzing the data collected, and attaining a conclusion regarding the experiment the individual had just completed. After the individual comes to a conclusion, it is clear for him/her to ascertain whether or not his/her hypothesis was proven. The Scientific Method begins with curiosity, which leads to inquiry, and, if an individual wishes quench his/her curiosity, then he/she would proceed to follow the steps established by the Method; it starts with curiosity and ends with knowledge. The Scientific Method is a renowned, impressive technique used by an abundant amount of scientists across the globe, and is the most effective way for an individual to come to a conclusion about a question apropos any item in his/her life.
The Scientific Method works because it is an uncomplicated, yet efficient system of reaching conclusions about simple or complex queries by following six to eight simple steps. Id est, that Method is the best way to achieve results without incorporating personal feelings or opinions into the process. The item which a person is testing will come out with true, untampered-with results that will give the best answer possible for the question. That being said, the Scientific Method is evidently the most adequate procedure to follow when one wants to reach a denouement in his/her research.

Opportunistic scientists, the most hypocritical deviants of the modern age, revolve around the scientific method, or at least they used to. The scientific method once involved formulating a hypothesis from a problem posed, experimenting, and forming a conclusion that best explained the data collected. Yet today, those who are willing to critique the work of their peers are themselves performing the scientific method out of sequence. I propose that scientists, or the "treasure hunters" of that field, are no longer interested in permanent solutions, achieved through proper use of the scientific method, and rather are more interested in solutions that guarantee fame and fortune.

Throughout the movie The Awakening, Robin Williams demonstrates his knowledge of the scientific method. The scientific method is a procedure of steps that is used to prove problems. In the movie it is used to show that patients suffering from an un-named disorder do have a slight opportunity to return to their normal state of being. The scientific method is a list of steps to prove something and make into a law or theory based on your final product and findings.
Having satisfied this researchers then make epistemological assumptions surrounding the subject matter. They must decide on the type of evidence to be collected, considering which evidence will deliver optimum validity. They must decide which stance to take during research, objective or neutral, considering which would be possible or even favourable. They must then think about how this can be best achieved. Should the research be classified as 'scientific' or 'unscientific' and what determines this?
The scientific method is how psychologists gain knowledge about the mind and behavior. It is used by all scientists. The experimental method is the one way to engage the scientific method, and the only way to find a cause and effect in relationships. It is summarized in five steps, observing some phenomenon in the world, forming a hypothesis which is an educated prediction about relationships between two or more variables, examining the gathered information by using empirical research, determining what the results are and drawing them, and evaluating the results whether it will support the hypothesis or not. Researchers, at the end, submit their work for publication for all to see and read (King, 2016). There are three types of psychological research in the scientific method, descriptive research, correlation, and experimental research (King, 2016). Scientists make progress by using the scientific method, a process of checking conclusions against nature. After observing something, a scientist tries to explain what has been seen. The explanation is called a hypothesis. There is always at least one alternative hypothesis. A part of nature is tested in a "controlled experiment" to see if the explanation matches reality. A controlled experiment is one in which all treatments are identical except that some are exposed to the hypothetical cause and some are not.
This essay examines the advantages and disadvantages of using a method primarily for gathering research on human subjects that can be examined for later use. It will give a basic outline of the methods of investigation, their uses and their suitability. The scientific method is the analyzation of evidence, to examine a case from every angle possible, to not give up on an investigation until all of the angles are covered and to not allow personal emotions create a bias in their mind (Osterburg 2010). A scientific method example would be when an investigator arrives to a crime scene, they would first search the area for clues and see if something doesn’t seem right. Next they would have to search for different forms of evidence, most important would be trace evidence because it can provide DNA evidence which can also link a suspect to the crime. Simply start by asking a question, doing background research, and then constructing a hypothesis. I think the best way to describe what helps me understand scientific method, is trying to shed some light on the uncertainties through step by step procedures, collecting and analyzing data. Both start with observations of the world around us. During those observations and some inconsistency, confusion, a question may arise. This will probably lead to more observing, reading or talking to others, or perhaps consulting an expert. We then might clarify the problem and intuit a hypothesis, than decide to gather some more data to shed some light on that hypothesis. Will this new data lead to more questions or more information gathering? So after we organize and analyze all our data and check it with what others and what they know. We may then talk it through with our buddies or maybe go back and collect more data, and the process continues.
