Three fossil fuel, with advantages and disadvantages:

The name fossil fuel is derived from the fact that they were formed millions years ago. There are three main fossil fuel forms. They were all formed in the Carboniferous Period. This period got its name from Carbon, which is the main component of coal and fossil fuel. The period occurred 360 to 240 million years ago.
1- Coal:
A hard substance, black colored and it looks like rock. The main elements that coal is made up from are carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and varying amounts of sulphur. Coal itself has three main types: anthracite, bituminous and lignite. Anthracite has the most carbon percentage, therefore it has the most energy content. In term of strength, anthracite is the hardest. Lignite has the least carbon percentage, however, it has the highest hydrogen and oxygen content. In term of strength, it is the softest coal type. Bituminous is in between anthracite and lignite.
