tanding The Final Watch by William Alan Webb is a science-fiction novel filled with action and suspense. Written in the third person perspective, the story is mainly set in a post-apocalyptic world.

The various twists and turns woven into the story kept me guessing at what would happen next. Also, the vivid descriptions of the characters and settings made it easy to visualize the story. The only problem I had with the book was the amount of military terminology that was used. I was unfamiliar with most of the terms and the author only explained what some of it meant.
What I like the best about this book was the portrayal of the characters. I felt like I was in the novel and experiencing whatever the characters were experiencing. The author spent a good part of the book building up the relationships between the characters. All the characters, from the good guys to the bad guys, were crafted into believable and well-developed characters. Nick Angriff came off as a rough, but likable character. His best friend, Norm Fleming, helped to build up Nick’s character by helping him with any problem that he faced.
There were a few grammatical errors, but they did not detract from the book. There was violence as well as curse words, so I would not recommend this book to younger readers. Also, I feel like this book falls more under the thriller section than the sci-fi
what kinda sucked about it is that they dragged out to the end. which made you know what's going to happen when ending came. that's why it was so dull cause I was on the last page and Sam still hasn't been killed yet so I knew right away what was going to happen. Recommendations: I would recommend this if you want to study the sight affects of the war.
The book had a few characters that I liked, but a lot of characters that I disliked. For example Yasmine was a character that I disliked. I didn’t like her because she brought pain to Paige’s life. Yasmine and Paige were best friends for months in Sixth grade. They were constantly doing fun activities together, like having sleepovers or planning each other’s birthday parties, but all that was ruined by a mistake Yasmine made. Paige and Yasmine were at a school dance, when
Fans of the novel found that the way the novel is written, you never want to put it down and the action keeps things moving and is quite entertaining. The novel pulls you in and makes you love each of the main characters in it. This is a great series for anyone to read, and it is audience friendly for whoever reads them. There is quite a bit of suspense that will make the novel exceed readers 's expectations, and the twists and turns keeps you guessing and lets nothing be predictable. Some like the way this group of people bands together when they really need to and keep things together so they can all stop the
I found the book to be easy, exciting reading because the story line was very realistic and easily relatable. This book flowed for me to a point when, at times, it was difficult to put down. Several scenes pleasantly caught me off guard and some were extremely hilarious, namely, the visit to Martha Oldcrow. I found myself really fond of the char...
There are several things that I like about this book. First off, I love historical fiction, and this is the genre of this book. Also, despite the author being too descriptive, the book went at a steady pace. For me, pace usually determines whether I will read the book or not, and I never really hesitated, or thought about changing books.
It is both easy and hard to read, because while most of the words s someone in 7th grade can understand or confidently infer, the puzzles are hard, and you mostly rely on the characters in the story for their answer unless you are a really g good puzzle solver. The characters were well developed, and were interesting to see them interact with each other. The plot moved slowly at first, ad got faster and faster, but it was always just the right pace for the current situation. It was interesting, as there was always something to think about. I only got bored slightly in the first chapter, but that was because it was setting up everything. It got better and better after that. I recommend it to people who like mysteries. I would recommend it to these people because they will be used to the kind of slow start, and will appreciate it for all its
I really liked the book because I can relate to how Nick can feel. The author’s writing style was really good for me because it makes the book feel like it goes by fast and I like books that feel like they go by fast. The characterization was really good it gave an explanation of who the characters are and how they act. The theme of the book doesn’t camouflage your feelings. The conflict is between Nick and his feelings because ever since his parent’s divorce he doesn’t know how to feel to situations that happen in the book. The beginning plot of the story is when the parents get a divorce. The middle plot of the story is when Nick’s appendix burst and Nick’s mom comes from Kentucky to check in on him, and later Nick’s parents announce that they’re getting back together. The ending plot is when Nick gets in a fight with Dean and Don twins that have bullying Nick and Coby for a while although Nick loses he scared Dean and Don away and he got his bike back that they stole from him. I would recommend this book to a friend. I would recommend this to a friend who can relate to
As much as generous and honest Nick Carraway is, he still needs a few important improvements in himself. Nick went to Yale, fought in world war one and moved to East of New York to work in finance. After moving to New York, Nick faces tough dilemmas throughout the story such as revealing secrets, and witnessing betrayal. His innocence and malevolence toward others was beyond his control. He did not have the ability or knowledge to know what he should have done in the spots he was set in. He seemed lost and having no control of what went on- almost trapped- but indeed, he had more control than he could have ever known. Because of the situations he has experienced and the people he has met, such as Gatsby, Tom, Jordan and Daisy, his point of view on the world changed dramatically which is very depressing. Trusting the others and caring for them greatly has put him in a disheartening gloomy position.
The ending of the novel was inspiring. The author suggests the reader to look into great novels, and even supplies a list of novels a personally suggests. He ended with a very ...
My overall opinion of this book is good I really liked it and recommend it to anyone. It is a good book to read and it keep you interested throughout the whole book.
In the novel, I learned the with Great Friendship that it would be much easier to achieve anything, and with great determination, you could achieve anything. This shows that with a little friendship, and hard work, you can achieve anything that you want to. I would say after reading this book, that without friendship you can never have a better life, than the one Freak and Max and after all the two kids with no friends became two of the best friends you could ever
The book and the movie were both very good. The book took time to explain things like setting, people’s emotions, people’s traits, and important background information. There was no time for these explanations the movie. The book, however, had parts in the beginning where some readers could become flustered.
In the Afterlight by Alexandra Bracken was published in December of 2015 by Demco Media. It is 400 pages long and within the young adult genre. More specifically, it is the third book of The Darkest Minds trilogy. In this series you follow a young girl named Ruby, who lives in a dystopian society and is trying to find a way out of the unprivileged life she was wrongly put into. It keeps the reader wanting more after each chapter, with action, mystery, and a little romance.
The vocabulary he used is very different to our everyday language, with its constant use of geometric terms. As I continued to read, however, I started to understand the books jargon. The beginning was also hard to read due to the slowness in which moved along, setting the scene, but this setting the scene part truly enhanced the end. It allowed the reader to pick up the books language and get the reader to invest in the story. Despite the confusion and dryness at some parts of the book, overall it was very interesting, entertaining and a little
My book had a very good plot to it because it was laid out very nice and it had a lot of details. It was also good because it always kept me on the edge wondering what was going to happen next. Like wether or not Alex can capture Herod Sayle in time. One of the reasons I did not like my book was because it is slow and it took a long time to get to the point of what is going to happen. Overall it was a good book it was very fun to
