Abortion is a controversial issue in the today’s society. There are many opinions on the view of abortion, whether it’s positive or negative depending on the individuals’ perspective. First of all what is Abortion? Abortion is a medical process where the foetus is removed or terminated from the womb of the mother before it is born. The reason why I chose the topic abortion is because I was fascinated to hear that an estimated 80,000 - 90,000 surgical abortions are performed in Australia each year (Garratt, 2009). I find this issue important to address because Abortion is probably the world's most common surgical procedure (Arthur, 1999) and that it is increasing over the years, to the extent that people would find it commonly natural to abort the unborn child. By examining sources in relation to the issue, its creditability is its upmost importance so that we are able to understand the issue of abortion with clear understanding and judge for ourselves whether it’s right or wrong.
Journal First Criteria: Peer Review
I believe the journal article I have chosen is credible because, peer reviewed journals are considered as the basis of academic research and professional knowledge. They present information that is in a clear and concise fashion, as a result leading to a high level of credibility. Also, the care and effort it takes to develop a publishable manuscript means it can be months between the time research is conducted and the results are even submitted for publication (Solomon, 2007). This indicates that time and effort has been put in the journal article to make the information that is being conveying to the audience authentic and that only the highest quality of research is published. The journal article that I have chose...

...atistics that was established plays on the emotion of the audience as they feel sympathy for the large amount of women that had died because of their first pregnancy. Furthermore statistics also increases the credibility of the article in two ways. Firstly, using statistics establishes that extensive research has been done making the audience believe that the stats provided are factual and reliable. Secondly, using statistics from reliable sources such as World Health Organization rises the credibility of the article. The article that I have chosen is credible because the author John Flynn used statistic from different sources as well as quotes from experts to back up his statement, and also most importantly statistics sticks with the audience even after reading the article. Hence statistics are one important factor that makes an article credible and reliable.
As one knows, some unwanted pregnancies could often be harmful and distressing for a woman. Women should have the right over their body to choose to sustain the fetus or not. In the past decades, women did not have their freedom of abortion in many countries of the world. There have always been controversies going on about abortion. Each individual has dissimilar views on the legality of abortion. Some people are against abortion for personal religious purposes and beliefs. For those who don’t believe in abortion, it is because they see it as killing a fetus, which is a human being. Others support abortion because they believe in women’s rights. Laws of abortion vary in each country, and abortion is not legal all over the world. It is illegal under any conditions but only permitted to save woman’s life if in countries such as Brazil, Nigeria, United Arab Emirates, and Ireland. However, abortion is legal without any restrictions in countries like Canada, Albania, and Italy. It the past decades Abortion was considered as criminal act in Canada. “If an abortion was carried out without such approval, the woman was liable for imprisonment for 2 years, an...
Abortion is an immoral act of killing and there are other much more logical moral ways to handle unwanted pregnancies. This paper full of information is to show the crewel harsh side of abortion so people can know that there is more to the act than the convenience makes it look like. The baby doesn’t just disappear, the baby dies. Please refer to this to inform others, many people have no idea and this paper will help them
The authors, with a reasonable and respected knowledge in the issue are credible enough to the extent
In the nonscientific essay the introduction sentence states “Colleges have a serious problem with alcohol abuse among students and its not getting any better.” It doesn’t state where the author got his information and what percentage of colleges have the ongoing alcohol abuse. This essay always states an opinion and never facts such as its second paragraph by saying “Alcohol abuse is a common, not a marginal activity at most colleges and we only fool ourselves if we expect marginal efforts to reduce it.” Once again the author fails to state his credibility of where he/she got his information. Just a simple statements as “alcohol abuse is common” desperately needs credible facts to uphold his statement. Comparing this, the scientific essay starts with its “objective, design, setting, participants, main outcome, results and conclusion” for the first page. This shows how the experiment was done, how credible it is, and proof of the statement that binge drinking in fact does occur in college.
There are many limitations valued when it comes to the right of abortion. The news media still outlines the pros and cons of anti-abortion rights in certain-states-to soon, the entire country. My perspectives on the issue of abortion have been entitled from it to never be banned among citizen’s rights. The reproduction of pregnancy has been emphasized heavily on a mother’s decision to abort their child, but the father of the child plays an active role since he considers to that particular title. Through this current issue, majority of the people against abortion do not seem to have an open mind to how much it primarily affects the decision of the mother amongst her own views of considering abortion.
That alone provides a great source of credibility to the paper. The idea that this is an author who has done the research, gathered the numbers, and analyzed the data, allows the reader to rest in the idea that they are reading a valid article, and receiving good, hard, evidence. Twenge also uses a very logical tone throughout her article, maintaining the idea that the data is as clear as day, and that there is no disproving it; the numbers show true facts.
Abortion is a voluminous topic today all around the world. Differing viewpoints on abortion are recognized in politics, religion, and throughout the general population. There is a small amount of people who are nonchalant on the subject. Women have abortions for many different reasons and according to certain groups these reasons are either justified or not. Everyone tends to have their own articulated opinion, and many vocalize tenaciously what they believe. Pro-life individuals along with religion are sanguine that abortion is ethically and morally erroneous. Whereas those who are pro-choice say that abortion is inconsequential and the mother’s choice is more important than the fetus. Reasons to not get an abortion include risks involved in receiving an abortion. In some cases death can occur. However, there are other alternatives to abortion. For example, raising the child and adoption.
However after long time, abortion remains question under discussions. There are strong arguments both for and against abortion. Therapeutic abortion that is one of the most disputable topic in modern society is evident capable of generating intense passions, that lead to a great number of other social issues. In recent decades, on a global scale there is increasing pressure for changes in abortion which could lead to a various consequences.

An abortion is when a pregnancy is ended so that it does not result in the birth of a child. For many years abortion has been the subject of criminal law in Australia and has been a current legal issue facing Australia today. Recently many people have started to question the clarity of the laws and whether they are appropriate for their current place within the criminal code. Various stakeholders have argued that the laws fail to give certainty to both doctors and patients. These current issues have led to an increased pressure for the states of New South Wales and Queensland to decriminalise abortion. The current Queensland abortion laws are not clear and fail to give certainty to both doctors and patients. Due to this, the Queensland abortion
It is much harder to get an abortion in Queensland than any other state in Australia this is because our state is backwards compared to the other states in Australia. This is bad for the stakeholders because they cannot even get an abortion if they have been raped and got pregnant from it. Throughout this report the legal issues associated with abortion will be discussed, how it affects stakeholders and the legal outcomes for abortion. 2.0 Investigation 2.1 Legal issues with Abortion Abortion is the only medical procedure that is contained in
-The question and topic of my term project was: Should women could exercise while pregnant? If so, do the results of exercise benefit or hurt the baby? Based on the popular article, it was a positive thing to exercise during pregnancy. This popular article didn’t describe how much or how little exercise a woman should do in a certain amount of time, it only said that working-out benefited the mother’s health and the baby’s future; physically as well as mentally. I also found 3 different scientific articles that described experiments and research. These specific articles had varied results under a plethora of circumstances and/or limitations. Some results were found to be beneficial while others were negative, and even more surprising some results were even found to have a neutral or unchanging effect! My understanding of both articles was the fact that, exercise is good for both the mother and child, only if it is done under a careful and watchful eye of a doctor who knows the mother and her limitations, personally. My full conclusion of both of these articles, is that exercise is only positive and beneficial when the mother can physically make all of her goals without pushing herself and the child too far to a point of unhealthy and dangerous circumstances.
Abortion is an extremely controversial issue and one that is continually on the forefront of debates. Those who oppose the idea (Pro-lifers), thinks it is an act of woman playing “God” who live from who dies. Yet, whether an unborn baby constitutes a normal person is questionable; a pregnant woman, on the other hand, has the undeniable right to choose whether she wants to have a child or not. Therefore, the decision to have an abortion is the personal choice and responsibility of the woman, because prohibiting abortion impedes freedom of choice and endangers the physical and mental health of women.
Abortion by definition means the way of ending pregnancy by removing fetus from the womb before it is able to survive independently. Abortion is an extremely debatable issue because while some people are completely against it, others believe that a woman should have the right to choose. Abortion decision is like killing own child or killing an innocent human life before coming out from uterus. I will explain how a human life is being destroyed, the process in which they destroy the fetus, and how to avoid this situation all together I believe that abortion is morally impermissible.
Abortions have always been a very controversial topic. Over the years we continue to fight for or against it. One can say that is one of the most talked and argued topic in the United States. An abortion is when a woman terminates her pregnancy before the fetus is viable using various of methods. Some argue that abortions should be illegal and considered murder, while others, from a religious point of view, say that no one has the right to take away the life of a person, in this case the fetus. However, others insist, that abortions are a basic women’s right.
