Is abortion the answer to getting rid of a child you cannot take care of no matter the reason? Abortion is defined as a surgical method used to terminate a pregnancy especially during the first six months. In my opinion, abortion is not the way to go. There are other options rather than killing a human being who has not even lived for days, or even months. Pro- life most literally means "for life", which is not the way many people see things nowadays. Normally, people choose to be pro- choice which means, "one has a choice whether or not to get an abortion because it is their life". Obviously, I do not see it that way. A life is a life whether it has been five seconds or five years, and to me it is murder. No matter the circumstance whether it be rape, willing, or etc. I do not think abortion should be legal. Also, I realize after getting raped or something of the nature, it would be certainly hard to keep a baby by someone you either: did not know, did not love, and/ or did not willingly have sexual relations with, but then again just as though you did not ask to be raped, the baby did not ask to be made, but it was.

Apparently, abortions lie within a woman's line of privacy; therefore, the decision is a fundamental right of the woman.

Ultimately, Roe v. Wade is the case that brought about the legalization of abortion. At this time all of the United States prohibited abortion, as previously stated it was only prohibited if it were to save a woman’s life, or for a handful of reasons such as instances of rape, incest, or fetal abnormality. Roe helped make these laws illegitimate, which made abortion services safer and more accessible to women all over the country. The decision was also set as a legal precedent that affected more than thirty future Supreme Court cases involving restrictions on abortion. The ruling of the case brought up the shift of American tradition and noted that times were officially changing.
For some, abortion is a touchy subject like politics and religion. In America, abortion has always been a controversial topic of discussion. The Supreme Court in the case Roe vs Wade case set the way of guidelines and the right for women to have an abortion if she chooses. In 2015 abortions is still an ongoing debate amongst religious groups, politicians and normal citizens. People that are for the rights of women to abort are often criticized and ridiculed for standing up for their personal beliefs. There are people who have conditioned their minds to think that women should not be allowed to have abortions if she was not raped or a result of incest, which I strongly disagree with that type of thinking. However, it is the law of the land, it is a women’s right to choose and she has to live with the psychological effects of her choice.
Abortion is the termination of a human pregnancy that does not end in birth of a child. There are two types of abortion-medical abortion and surgical abortion. Medical abortion can be done before 49 days of pregnancy by using pharmaceutical drugs. Surgical abortion takes place by using surgical instruments between 6-14 weeks of pregnancy. Both methods are safe. It depends on the size of fetus and week of pregnancy. An abortion, which is the removal of a fetus from a woman’s body, should be allowed because of women’ s freedom, life opportunities and victim protection.
Abortion is very cruel to the baby and even harms the mother. It is murder!There are many different procedures for abortions, all gruesome and pain inflicting on the baby. Suction Aspiration (vacuum curettage) makes up for 98% of first trimester abortions. The cervix is first dilated. Then a suction tube with a sharp cutting edge is inserted which rips the baby to pieces. It then sucks out all the remains.
Abortion is the method of removing a fetus or an embryo from the mother. Prior to 1970s, states had the power to decide the right to abort over the pregnant women. This situation continued until the Roe v. Wade case, which changed the whole country. It started in Texas, where there was a law stated that abortion was not allowed to be performed in any circumstances, except of life-threatening conditions. A Texas woman, who went by Jane Roe, challenged the law, stating that the abortion right is a “fundamental right”. The Supreme Court agreed to hear the case, which made this the first time ever in the history to recognize the right of privacy against the compelling interest of the states on abortion (Pearson Education, Inc.). In the case of Roe v. Wade (1973), with a decision of 7 to 2 majority vote, the Supreme Court upheld the right to abort. The Supreme Court stated that the First, Fourth, Ninth, and Fourteenth Amendments protected the right to abort against the state laws. Abortion is categorized as a bioethical issue because it relates to the morals of biomedical advances, policies and research. Abortion is a difficult subject that can involve personal morals and beliefs, legality and religious values. The issue is often viewed from either the side of pro-life, which places emphasis on the fetus and its right to life or pro-choice, which emphasizes the rights of the mother to decide the appropriate action (Roth, 2005). This brings the ethical question of should the government have the right to outlaw abortion into debate. The two viewpoints of pro-life and pro-choice explore the two main moral issues concerning abortion (Roth, 2005).
