When they first came out with them they were selling these at malls and advertising them as "safe". They had people smoking inside and in front of minors. This was all until recent research stating that it is just as bad as smoking other tobacco products. According to Gitau, teenagers who used e-cigarettes by the time they started ninth grade are more likely to smoke other traditional forms of smoking like, hookahs, cigarettes, and cigars, soon in the future.
