It was a gloomy wednesday afternoon and Sarah, a senior at western high, was driving home from school thinking about dinner and what was on tv that night, her favorite comedy shows. Her brother loved comedy. They used to watch them every wednesday from 7 P.M. to 10 P.M. since they were little. Her brother, Nathan, was a tall, strong and caring young man, and he had just graduated two years ago. He wanted to be in the military to serve for his country and protect his family. He was supposed to come home this summer from being in Iraq on active duty. Sarah turned the corner onto the road on which she and her parents lived. The three of us went inside. The officers explained to her that Nathan has been killed in active duty. Sarah fell to the floor; she couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Her best friend since birth is gone - he has been ripped away from her by an evil being. Her knees gave out, and she fell to the floor. The men helped her to the couch, and they left her to be alone with her thoughts and trying to understand what she has just been told. As soon as the men, left she broke down in tears. Sarah shuddered as she sat on the couch thinking about all the memories she had with her brother. When they were little they used to go down to the lake to swim with the fish and play with the frogs. When she was fourteen Nathan was sixteen and he would drive her to the mall to hang out with her friends, to basketball practice, and to school. When she was sixteen and her boyfriend broke up with her, she pulled into the driveway and she was balling in her car. Nathan carried her to her room and put her to bed, he then took her car and drove to the boy’s house. He walked into the young foolish boys house, not even knocking on the door; he searched the house and found him with another girl in his room.
