A Freaky Story - Original Writing I was sitting in my room doing nothing. There was silence in the whole house. I was alone at home. There was a faint ‘thump, thump’ coming from somewhere downstairs as if someone was walking on the floorboards. I ignored it thinking it was the tick-tock of the clock. I was too tired and bored to think of anything at the moment. My mind was blank. I would have gone over to a friend’s place but I wasn’t allowed out of the house until my parents and my sister came back. Both my brothers – Will and Henry - are away at Sandhurst Military Academy. So, it’s only me and my sister at home now. You see, me and my sister are twins – identical. Her name is Michelle. I am younger to her by around two minutes. Or One and a half to be more precise. Although we are pretty much alike on the outside, we are two quite different people, otherwise. My sister is more into all this romantic mushy-mushy stuff which I don’t like at all! I am more into sports and I love adventure and anything exciting. Michelle and I go swimming and play tennis together. We get along well with each other because we have quite a few things that we both like as well. Horse-riding and the love for horses that we both share is one of the many things that make us get along well. We go riding every weekend and tend to our brothers’ and cousin Zara’s many horses. I guess it probably runs in the family. We also like the same kind of music (well, most of the times!), hanging out with our friends and just messing around and playing in water. We have a water fight when our cousins come over or we go to their house. Enough about me. Now to get on ... ... middle of paper ... ...me up to my throat to strangle me, then.... “Nooo!” I screamed and sat up in bed. I was sweating and breathing heavily. I looked around wondering where I was and felt myself everywhere to see if I was still alive. Getting out of bed, I opened the curtains of the palace window and looked outside. It was snowing! I got dressed and went downstairs where everyone was waiting for me. The whole family was there, including my brothers. I went over to them and gave each of my brothers and Michelle and my parents a huge hug and wished them a merry Christmas. Then I went round to the end of the huge table and gave my grandmother and grandfather a great hug. I was so glad that all that happened was just a horrible dream. Later, after breakfast, the whole of the royal family went to Sussex to attend the morning church service.
I groaned loudly. I had piles of homework to catch up on, an entire book to read for English by the end of this week, and a math test to study for. On top of all of that, my head was pounding and it felt like it was on
I went through the day numb. After school, I hurried home, closed the door to
The line between not guilty and innocent is not always clear. Sometimes the court system can be flawed. The question is: does acquitted mean innocent? This question is brought about in the book Monster by Walter Dean Myers, when Steve Harmon, the main character, is on trial. He is acquitted, however, is he really innocent? Steve Harmon is guilty of being the lookout but is not responsible for Mr.Nesbitt’s death, because he was in the store, he was identified by other participants, but he was out of the store before Nesbitt died.
I froze. I had forgotten about the dance and now was uncertain about whether I was going or not. "Yeah, probably," I answered. She nodded and we discussed other things, but my mind never wandered away from the question she had posed. Suddenly, the bus appeared and I climbed on and took a seat in the front. I needed some time to think.
I turned around and followed my family to our car. What a day I had had.
I fight monsters. It hasn’t always been like this though. I saw my first monster four years ago, when I was eleven. My dad was in the hospital back then. He had been diagnosed with lung cancer a year before. That day, as I was sitting by the bed when the machines went silent around him, something about how I saw things changed. Maybe the blinding mask of sunshine and happiness you see when you are a child fell, or maybe the first piece of who I was, or who I thought I was, broke inside.
Once that scenario was over, Bob went home and brought me with him. Bob usually never brings be back to his place, but he must have been so nervous when Scrooge

Such as a personal example my sister was born five years after me and she is the youngest and my brother is two years older than me and my brother both look alike and we both have brown curly hair both tall and then we are also bigger boned.

Jocelyn was driving through a wooded section of highway. Lightning flashed, thunder roared, the sky went dark in the downpour.
"Ok, now let's see what you can do with this pistol alright" I gave her five shells to load and told her, "always leave the hammer on an empty chamber for your safety" I stood behind her and watched as she took aim not expecting her to hit any of the targets. Boy was I wrong, with every shot a target flew through the air with a hole dead center. After she unloaded the pistol she motioned for me to give her more ammo. I gave her five more shells, she loaded the gun, aimed and fired with the same results. After this round was over I motioned for her to sit down a minute. Brenda was smiling and said, "how did I do" "You were great and where did you learn to shoot that way" I use to target pratice, remember I told you that" "yes I remember, but did not expect you to be so good" "Big things come in small packages she laughed. I laughed with her and said, "let's see how you do with a rifle now" I walked out about two-hundred feet and set up four targets for her and said, "all your's" Brenda steadied herself and aimed, missed the first one, raised the rifle again, and took a shot. The target went flying through the air flipping over and over. "Not bad, now and let's see if you can keep it going" I told her. She hit the other two and raised the rifle again, and I stopped her and said, "what are you shooting at" "The one I missed of course" The other target she hit knocked the down she missed so I let her have her way. She cocked the rifle, brought it up to aim and fired. Sure enough that target went down. "You are amazing and is there anything else I do not know about you smiling" "Oh there is a lot but that would take the mystery of of it wouldn't it", grinning. "I suppose and we have plenty of time to find out those things my dear" As we walked back to the cabin we held hands like two lovers that were sneaking around behind their parents back. The rest of the day we just sat on the porch and made small talk with one another. Every-now-and-then she would look at me and smile. Brenda started humming a little tune and I watched her rocking back and forth keeping time to it.
The rest was a blur. I felt nothing. It was just as if I was asleep. I
After a quick breakfast, I pulled some of my gear together and headed out. The car ride of two hours seemed only a few moments as I struggled to reinstate order in my chaotic consciousness and focus my mind on the day before me. My thoughts drifted to the indistinct shadows of my memory.
My stomach retched, my throat dry, had I got myself into this mess? A distant thud echoed across the cold, hard floor, ricocheting into my ear. Someone was coming.
